S2 sucked Jane shit plane shit
Show then got better with Gus Mike and saul then sucked in the last season with the deus ex nazis
Bcs is a cluster frick with no plan after they killed chuck off but at least it didn't shit on bb lore
this, tho Gus mike and saul weren't that great and pretty overrated, huel and flynn were consistently more entertaining than any other character on the show
Skinny p and badger also saved El Camino from being completely shit and they cut their scenes out of the movie (only on Netflix yt)
Bcs however has zero good side characters despite being longer than bb.
As we get closer to the end of BCS I'm leaning towards BB
>As we get closer to the end of BCS I'm leaning towards BB
Ofc bb
Bcs is the prequels in every way and not in a good way
You sound like a pretentious self important homosexual. Up to and including season 4 is great. Not the best series even imo but definitely high up the ladder
Ok, I don't want to start a new thread.
Tell me about BCS. Is it one of those fricking dumb lawyer shows where each episode he has a different case and it always ends up with some ebin speech in front of a jury?
Not even remotely like that at all. 99% of the lawyer stuff is behind the scenes dealings and scheming, and most of what happens in the courtroom is just the plot-relevant parts. But that’s all a small part of the show, with much more focus being on Saul setting up an executing various scams and schemes to destroy anyone in his way without them even knowing
>attempt to rewatch BCS >forget there's an entire half hour of Chuck tearing wire out of the walls >forget there's an entire half hour of Mike trying to hang some sneakers from a high voltage line >forget there's a half hour of Gus pondering whether he should put a gun in his secret underground lab >forget there's a half hour of Lalo spying on shit from a sewer grate with binoculars >forget there's a half hour of Jimmy feeding a fat security guard Cinnabons
>Yes, that's exactly what it is. It's awful
This is wrong.
Ok, I don't want to start a new thread.
Tell me about BCS. Is it one of those fricking dumb lawyer shows where each episode he has a different case and it always ends up with some ebin speech in front of a jury?
It's more like the first 4 series of the Australian TV series rake. He starts out as a fairly scummy lawyer and sort of fails upwards.
S4 5 6 of bcs tries to be bb and fails then gets rid of most of the interesting characters
you fricking virgin never had the wits to navigate your ways t one of the best tv shows ever you don't fricking deserve to be inforrmeed by those who were competent enough to devote tgeir energy to watching it with a blissful exclusion of a reddit netflix fanbase who can't ever make up their mind unless it's guided by some moronic Disney shill trailer fricking cancer that spoon-feeds them the despicable content the level on which they will never manage to reach beyond

I think there's only one episode where I remember an appeal to the jury in all of the 6 seasons, and it's pretty much a punchline where it's a grand appeal, but then the prosecution just plays one video and you see the complete appeal was high grade bullshit.
This show has more home improvement/setting boobytraps/doing something technical in preparation of some scheme, than it has in-court moments.
No it's a slow burn character studytbat increasingly gets closer in tone to Breaking Bad as the protagonist gets closer to being the Saul Goodman we know from Breaking Bad.
because you only talk to your zoomer tiktok friends and only watch pre approved israeli media because "dude based memes!!!! wouldn't it be funny if we all saw minions?? WE DID IT REDDIT!!!". imagine thinking something has to be popular in order to be good, you're eating up the israeli slop getting you ready for your matrix pod.
until further update, we're still on Sopranos era of TV, like it or not (I would argue we're on a transition period though). BB didn't change shit, even though I love the show
Thinking about re-watching BB makes me dread all the endless scenes of Jesse crying, Jesse struggling with rehab, Skylar cheating, Walt interacting with Walt Jr, Marie struggling with stealing, Hank coping with his injury, etc etc. As slow as BCS is paced, I can’t think of any episodes I really dread re-watching
yes cause watching a whole episode of mike dismantling a car is very very interesting. mike is the worst part of the show. hes so fricking old that all his scenes where hes supposed to be bad ass is just plot armor cringe.
I've been watching some BB clips featuring Saul from youtube and holy shit does Walter come across as a complete tryhard buffoon after seeing the larger context in BCS. Sure he was always supposed to be an out of his depth boomer but when seen through Saul's eyes he's almost unbearable.
Walt comes off as a try hard buffoon without BCS... that's what he is. it's his whole character. idk how people didn't see it during the run of BB. Walt is a boomerbrained homosexual
When you're following him for most of the show and see things from his perspective you understand him and his thought process. It just feels different out of context.
I was following him and seeing things from his perspective throughout the show. that's why he was so insufferable. He was a vindictive, petty, narcissistic butthole who slid deeper and deeper into self delusion with each season. The funniest thing is that the more hair he had the less obnoxious he was -- weak simp Walt and post Granite Slate Heisenberg were the only times he was sympathetic and that was because he actually kept his stupid mouth shut. Mike had his issues with being a boomer hypocrite himself but he called Walter out for what he really was: a fart sniffing self obsessed prick who needed, badly, to shut the frick up.
The look of disgust from Jesse when he says "No... this is ALL ABOUT ME" in S4 was exactly how I looked at him for most of the show. skyler is an annoying harpy Karen b***h and Walt still manages to make her look sympathetic because he's that fricking awful almost the ENTIRE time
>be me >watching BB/BCS clips on youtube >every other comment is about how a character is "badass"

Why do people unironically think he was badass in that scene? Literally 5 episodes later he's having a panic attack and shitting bricks over Gus

Normies aren't context sensitive. You manipulate their emotions with grand displays and they confuse that for substance. About the one times Walt actually pulls off "badass" is blowing up Tuco's hideout and the "say my name" scene. Why? because he plays it subtle, doesn't go on a tirade, and keeps it straight and to the point. Any time he has more than 2 lines of dialog in a row he just makes himself look more sad and pathetic. The one who knocks scene is the best example of that. It's him being a petty and desperate cretin trying to put on a show to cover up his insecurities to a woman who keeps hammering at the chinks in his armored front. Walt is pathetic. His entire criminal career is a product of him being pathetic. most Normies watching show are similarly pathetic, so they "relate" to him and see him as a "badass" in the same way they see themselves as "badass" for taking the most pedestrian of stands. they're just cowards and morons, so they don't have the self awareness to see Walt for the failure he is.
Is it me or does Walt never turn sinister? Bryan just plays his heisenberg scenes like he's a smug douchebag, he never really seems threatening or scary. Even Saul seems more intimidating when he hangs those kids upside down. He seems threatening in Felina but that's because he stops acting like a douchebag.
Walt is scary like an angry boomer dad is scary. Which is to say, he isn't if you're over the age of 15 and he can't take your Xbox away anymore. The definition of a blowhard. It's why literally no one ever could take him seriously. If he kept his mouth shut and just sat there with his goofy hat giving the occasional nod or monosyllabic grunt, he'd be scary. But whenever he starts pontificating he sounds like a CNNboomer complaining about Trump. SHUT UP! LOL

Yeah I don't know if that was the intention of the showrunners. Wasn't he meant to be really scary and evil seeming by the end? Not just annoying.
The best scene where Walt was gangster was when he was saying 6353 Juan Tabo apartment 6. Yeah. when Gale was killed. His demeanor should have been more like that more of the time. All i remember his him running about scared going JESSE!
Breaking Bad is a more focused, coherent experience. BCS at its best rivals Breaking Bad's peak, but the cartel prequel fanservice shit drags it down; by season 3 the show stops focusing on Jimmy McGill's transformation into Saul Goodman and instead becomes a variety show set in the BrBa "universe" and explaining how all the pieces were put into play to lead into the original series in excruciating detail. Gus has become insufferable, Mike is turned into Tony Soprano without irony or interrogation, and Lalo is the worst aspects of Breaking Bad distilled into a single meme character.
lmao. Gus, Mike, Lalo and Nacho were the only reason to watch the fricking show. It sure as shit wasn't watching Kim and Jimmy makes six seasons worth of stupid career moves. That side of the show might have worked if it had been more about burning bridges, a la BrB, but they kept voluntarily making self-destructive moves. The two of them just got aggravating to watch. I'm only finishing the show out of sunk cost.
The only reason the show is as long as it is is because they decided to explain the entire origin story of the meth lab in excruciating detail. Season 4 is barely about Jimmy at all
Breaking Bad but Better Call Saul would've been better if it was a completely decoupled show in the same universe without any gangster shit. Mike had way too much screen time and Gus became a cartoon character.
It's like Godfather and Godfather 2. EL CAMINO is Godfather 3.
It's the pinnacle of television. A masterwork 14 years in the making. These last two episodes we have are historical on a level you can't even imagine wait. Savor it. Enjoy it.
I though I liked BCS but then I rewatched Breaking Bad and after Ozymandias realized that it's the way superior show. Nonstop action, consequences, high stakes, actual kino, no le artistic 30 minute scenes of Mike doing nothing. I dont think I can finish BCS anymore
Breaking bad is better but i don’t understand the hype. It wasn’t even close to the best show ever. It wasn’t even thr best show about selling drugs ever.
Breaking bad is better but i don’t understand the hype. It wasn’t even close to the best show ever. It wasn’t even thr best show about selling drugs ever.
You just like narco capeshit. BB and BCS are character studies with moronic narco shootouts to keep the ADHD audiences' attention, totally different shows and goals.
BCS is extremely low impact, and the worst sin it commited is that it turned into BB side stories after chucks death. Should've been a fun lawyer show through and through with no Kim and limiting cartel shit as much as possible. It fails so bad as a prequel, but the first couple of seasons weren't focused on being a prequel as much as it was focused on Jimmy.
Saul in BB is not a guy who went on a desert adventure with Mike, who was merely his PI and not some guardian angel who saved his life multiple times, and BB Saul DEFINITELY did not see his long time rival get his head blown off. He doesn't do well with violence at all and comes off as a slippery snake who skirted the law at all opportunities. God I wish we got sleazy BCS and not this simp jimmy shit.
both are peak reddit and appeal to the nonwhite community but bcs is a bit better since breakind bad rely on cliffhangers in the end of each fricking episode
it is why it was so popular, its easy to hook normies with that
Better call saul isnt even a diet verison of breaking bad
Everybody knows how it end
kim, howard and chuck are useless filler characters
It will never be like breaking bad where every episode you atually gave a frick what was going to happen
It's very simple really, BCS exists because Breaking Bad was enormously popular.
If BCS had come first, Breaking Bad wouldn't exist because BCS would be cancelled after 2 seasons
Better call saul troony circle are too scared leaving their safe space they created so they will defend the show no matter what and hate breaking bad because it was too mainstream
Breaking Bad is the greatest series of all time. No i won't change my opinion because of you seething, deal with it. Better call saul is mostly filler and pales in comparison to BB. 20 years from now, it will be remembered, BCS will not be.
BrBa and it’s not even a fricking question lmao
BCS could have overtaken it if it had stuck with lawyerkino and Chuck had been on the show longer, but it devolved into stupid cartelshit
being a prequel automatically makes bcs the inferior show. the only negatives about bb was the family stuff. i wish walter had become heisenberg earlier and told his family to frick or get in line by the end of season 3 and we could have him be an el chapo esque figure for 2 whole seasons.
BCS is filled with filler , slow and boring.
Also paradoxical great television.
If they had done 5 seasons instead and cut out the fat they might have come close to BrBd
Not him but for me noise is to distract from the constant >EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
BCS took the BB formula for their best episodes and made an entire series out of it, which unfortunately gets very tiring. BCS has overused the unrelated opening scene that becomes relevant later thing
I haven't caught up with BCS yet, but I'll have to say Breaking Bad is better. Both have flaws and contrived plotting and both are more about character journey to being bad guys rather than realistic take on crime, and at least BB is almost all it while BCS is wasting unreasonable amount of time on Gus plotline that is completely pointless.
I ve seen the first 4 eps of Saul but I really hate the main character. He's half dumb and full autistic, I just can't seem to tolerate this frick. Does the character get better or should I just quit.
Clearly Breaking Bad is far better. The stakes are so much higher and the pace is consistent besides the dip in S3. BCS is fun but it exemplifies the issues of prequels (plot armored characters, ridiculous amounts of importance heaped on cheap callbacks, unnecessary backstories etc.) I still really enjoy BCS and especially the past two episodes because anything can happen in the post BrBa time period but it could have been a far shorter show. It's absolutely ludicrous that it's had more seasons than the original show and a huge chunk of it's runtime is spent with plots completely divorced from the titular character. The unnecessary focus on cartel bullshit is ridiculous. I think S4 of BCS pissed me off the most but they won me back with the end of S5 and all of S6 has been very enjoyable. Still better than most of the terrible shit on TV but it's hard not to be critical when BrBa was so great.
cartel stuff in BCS is only considered bad because it pales so hard in comparison to the drama around jimmy
BCS is just more dramatic with better characters and superior imagery
nothing in BB will top kim and jimmy's breakup
only hank's death comes close and imo howard's death tops it
just look at Jeff as a character, we've barely seen him and he is brilliantly tragic
Don't

But that’s all a small part of the show, with much more focus being on Saul setting up an executing various scams and schemes to destroy anyone in his way without them even knowing
not at all, is not episodic but it's also very slow on the early seasons, more of a slightly comedic drama filled type

>forget there's a half hour of Lalo spying on shit from a sewer grate with binoculars
>forget there's a half hour of Jimmy feeding a fat security guard Cinnabons
Lalo going to Germany is so fricking moronic and a total waste of time
Those episodes are so contrived and dumb, just because they have to neatly tie everything into BB.
this is what people wanted, but it's a character drama with comedic aspects, can be pretty slow.

BCS is pretty boring. Target audience is Reddit users, make of that what you will.
Nope. Not episodic at all. In fact, there are only like 3 big cases in the entire series. The other smaller cases are completely irrelevant
There's one (1) episode that's like that and it's the only entertainment in the entire show
Breaking Bad changed TV forever, no contest.
The Shield did everything BrBa did but 10 times better. Frick off newbie.

BCS has better writing but the ending will seal the deal. If it ended with ep 9, BCS no contest, a super bittersweet ending

Better call saul troony circle are too scared leaving their safe space they created so they will defend the show no matter what and hate breaking bad because it was too mainstream
it really varies from season to season
Breaking Bad
Breaking Bad is the greatest series of all time. No i won't change my opinion because of you seething, deal with it. Better call saul is mostly filler and pales in comparison to BB. 20 years from now, it will be remembered, BCS will not be.
sounds like ur seething bud
Breaking bad is Quran
Better call saul is the sunnah
I liked better call saul more
Better Call Saul’s entire cinematic identity relies on references to Breaking Bad. To say the former is better than the latter is nonsensical.
Having said that, Breaking Bad is ten times more exciting than BCS.
>BETTER Call Saul
>Breaking BAD
For a while i thought BCS, but the last season is so fricking boring, BrBa takes the lead
BrBa and it’s not even a fricking question lmao
BCS could have overtaken it if it had stuck with lawyerkino and Chuck had been on the show longer, but it devolved into stupid cartelshit
BCS, because it's mostly about Ignacio "Jesse" Varga.
being a prequel automatically makes bcs the inferior show. the only negatives about bb was the family stuff. i wish walter had become heisenberg earlier and told his family to frick or get in line by the end of season 3 and we could have him be an el chapo esque figure for 2 whole seasons.
better call saul
one is highly rewatchable and the other you always end up skipping minutes due to the filler, take a guess
BCS, then BB
You mean filler like the fly episode?
Both are solid.
More stuff happens in an episode of BB than in a season of BCS
you tell me
BCS is filled with filler , slow and boring.
Also paradoxical great television.
If they had done 5 seasons instead and cut out the fat they might have come close to BrBd
i use better call Saul as white noise to fall asleep and it works really well for that. as far as an actual tv show, it sucks and it’s boring
You're pathetic for being unable to fall asleep on your own. Go out camping for one night you limp wristed city gay.
Not him but for me noise is to distract from the constant
>EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
BCS took the BB formula for their best episodes and made an entire series out of it, which unfortunately gets very tiring. BCS has overused the unrelated opening scene that becomes relevant later thing
Better Thank Hank
>show where literally nothing happens for its entire six seasons is infinitely better than breaking bad
how did they do it?
No Jesse to cry over spilt milk (dead children)

I haven't caught up with BCS yet, but I'll have to say Breaking Bad is better. Both have flaws and contrived plotting and both are more about character journey to being bad guys rather than realistic take on crime, and at least BB is almost all it while BCS is wasting unreasonable amount of time on Gus plotline that is completely pointless.
BCS has some kino moments BB never had
BCS, BB was too le reddit for me.
I ve seen the first 4 eps of Saul but I really hate the main character. He's half dumb and full autistic, I just can't seem to tolerate this frick. Does the character get better or should I just quit.
Have you seen Breaking Bad before that?
no
BCS has way too much soul
Lalo carried the show after Season 3
cartel stuff in BCS is only considered bad because it pales so hard in comparison to the drama around jimmy
BCS is just more dramatic with better characters and superior imagery
nothing in BB will top kim and jimmy's breakup
only hank's death comes close and imo howard's death tops it
just look at Jeff as a character, we've barely seen him and he is brilliantly tragic
breaking bad walked so that better call saul could run
