Leave Hobbit out of this you prostitute.
Pick the Star Wars prequels instead or something.

    TLJ by far.

There was so much potential for the sequels because literally anything could happen, but all they managed to do was lay the groundwork for the complete cultural destruction of one of the most loved franchises. The hobbit was already written and even though they did a bad job with it, they still managed to tell the story coherently and it didn't have nearly the same impact Tolkien's legacy.

      This.
Also, the Hobbit trilogy had the same director for all three movies, so no excuse for lack of consistency.

Peter Jackson sacrificed 10 years of his life Princess Bride style to make that slop. Give the man a break. If you want to blame someone, blame studio and the Taco.

        It was consistent. Consistently bad.
        >b-but AUJ was good
No it wasn’t, they were all dumb and bad, it just had the lowest proportion of bad dumbness.

    Star Wars is worse.
The Hobbit movies are shit but they don't infect anything else outside them.

The Star Wars sequels destroy the worldbuilding while offering no new worldbuilding, break internal consistency, murder and embarrass all the OT character and render their achievements useless, all the new characters are terrible, and leave the entire setting in something with 0 storytelling potential.

Star Wars was worse, but Hobbit was more disappointing.
Five Armies is like a two hour videogame cutscene.

Shut up. Five Armies is obviously the weakest and that particular scene terrible.

    Star Wars
    7. was shameless nostalgia bait that undid everything the previous movies established
    8. added insult to injury
    9. was insulting to anyone with a functioning brain

this is what israeli hollywood does. somebody makes something, then they get free money printed by the central bank to buy the rights and ruin it by turning it into both a mercahndie selling ploy and a social engineering propaganda tool.

I'm not sure there IS a "worse" here, really, they both had exactly as much of a "plan", except one had a book it was supposed to be adapting.

The hobbit should have been good, so it was a bigger letdown for me. But Star Wars was worse, I have no desire to watch those movies again, nor have I watched any other Star Wars properties since.

You can see that there is a good movie buried in Hobbit, Bilbo's scenes with Gollum and Smaug were great, but the entire trilogy suffers from mandated bloat.
There is nothing redeemable about shitquel trilogy. TLJ might have been the worst movie ever made, if Glass Onion didn't exist.

the new israeli licensed star wars are so bad they make episode 1 look like a timeless classic of cinema.

I think the only difference between OT and PT fans is OT fans recognize the enormous flaws and don't pedestalize George.

I think I was 6 but still, I keep rewatching it and it's fantastic. But you're right about the OT fans.
