He was going after the tai chi guys who claim they can use that shit practically. Most taichi folks in China are just doing it as exercise, never for fighting. That being said, I personally know some kung fu masters who are legit and could frick up people in a street fight despite being chink manlets. Real Kung fu is a lot more like Krav Maga, using your nails in grabs to tear skin, learning how to take a hit and then fall with your knee so it breaks the opponents foot. It’s down and dirty and very effective.
