Steve, in the climax. Thier trend is killing the best character of every season.
    S2 - Bob
    S3 - Billy
    S4 - Eddie
Steve is the best character of the series so he'll be going down heroically. It will also resolve the Steve/Nancy/Jonathan love triangle without Nancy having to pick.

Nancy isn't getting back with Jonathan.

The showrunners pairing Steve and Nancy together this season was them admitting they should never have split them up.

Lol. You think career-oriented Nancy is going to pop out 6 kids and go Winnebago traveling. Nancy’s whole character is that she doesn’t want to end up like her mother, anon.
She’s going to college. Unlike Steve.

I'm not saying Steve will live, but Nancy isn't getting back together with Jonathan. I think Steve dies and before or during that scene he tells Nancy, who he is now back in a relationship with, to go and do better things than staying in Hawkins.

            Anonymous

Nah. If Mike is with El, than Nancy will forever be tied to Jonathan even if they aren’t together. So the writers will have them end up together.

Jonathan’s whole thing was that he was scared to move on because he wants to be there for his family. But now since Hopper is alive (and getting with Joyce), that won’t matter now and Jonathan is free.

              Anonymous

Disagree, the whole subplot with him this season was basically him growing distant from Nancy, reflected in Mike and El's relationship where Mike can no longer say "I love you" in his letters. El and Nancy both are more than on board with the male in their relationships, but the males were not. The difference for Mike is that he still cares about El. Jonathan doesn't want to be with Nancy.

Jonathan was planning to go to Lenore community college to stay close to his family, and he didn’t want Nancy to ruin her college aspirations because of that.

Now since the Byers are back in Hawkins and their Lenora house is destroyed, they’re not going back to Lenora. Plus Hopper is with Joyce now. Jonathan is free to be with Nancy. However, he has to be truthful with her.

                Anonymous

Nah I think the subtext is that Jonathan was convincing himself that was the reason, but in reality he's a lost stoner who doesn't know what he wants. That'll hold him back from embracing a relationship with Nancy. Nancy will get with Steve but Steve will die, telling Nancy to move on and Nancy decides to be on her own instead of sticking with Jonathan.

They love to give her the girl power moments, like being the one to take the gun and everything. So go all the way and have her sacrifice herself to protect Steve or Jon or Mike.

If Jonathan dies.…what happens to Argyle?

Steve. The big give away was him talking about his future, family, kids etc... One of the common tropes of a character destined to die off.

It will be Steve dying heroically to end his arc.
Everyone else in the cast but Steve and Robin have been through trauma on the show and/or watched alive one die.

And it’s not going to be Robin because lgbt. So yeah, it’s going to be Steve.

Supposedly Will takes control of the Mindflayer for the good guys. At one point he puts some of the shadow particles in Eddie’s body to temporarily control him. Similar to the dead Strange in Multiverse of Madness

    Steve Harrington.
As much as the audience loves him, he’s not crucial to the overall story like Hopper/Byers/Eleven/Wheelers are.

    Characters who can't die:
Have gone through too much trauma:
    >Max
    >Eleven
    >Joyce
    >Nancy
    >Will
Need to get together with a traumatized character for their happy ending:
    >Lucas
    >Mike
    >Hopper
    >Jonathan
    >(Sorry Will you don't get to be with Mike)
    Gay:
    >Robin
    Too innocent to die:
    >Dustin
That just leaves Steve, sadly. Also I guess Murray could die.

Eddie was literally created to die this season. The fact that he was so loved is great for the creators, because he died in his prime.

My biggest fear about S5 that it's some post-apocalyptic setting where monsters captured most of the earth and it's going to be about surviving among monsters

Why does Cinemaphile consume this excrement of a series as 15 year old dumb c**ts do? This was a board where we happily discussed Sopranos, Rome, Mad Men, Deadwood and the Wire. Now fricking look at you, Cinemaphile. Shame...
