      >Paying for a commission that's essentially a shittier version of what someone else drew for free.
I know it's more for getting something drawn by a(n in)famous person, but that's still pretty shitty.

Was animated in South Korea. I don't agree with the other anon, though.

A lot of cartoons and anime are animated by korean slaves though.

I never liked the hartman shows, sure, they have hot females like maddie, but just that. the humor is shit and development as well. and he, not telling to his fans that he would use the money for religious cartoons is a bad move, Im a believer but I would not play that dirty, specially because I know not all the people is into that or probably they are part of different religions. it would be the same as asking people for doing atheist propaganda

HOWEVER. the whole trace drama is moronic. I think people is saying he trace only because they expected he drawing like stephen silver, the actual designer of his shows

      >but they have the same poses as the original pictures
that's eyeballing and that's ok. they would look less shitty if he was actually tracing

It wasn't traced though, he posted a speedpaint process. He just heavily references. With how his drawings usually come out, I don't think he's really a professional illustrator.

        >pretty shitty
It's standard you buffoon. Expecting someone to understand a character well enough without hours of research to make a unique expressive character pose for just a single commission is unreasonable.
Most artists just draw their commissions with similar bodies or copy the official art in their style.

If y'all don't know anything about doing art as a job, avoid the topic. You're just pushing unfair expectations

This is a worse likeness than what Butch does which goes to show how little you know.

You don't get to make up any rules for commission artists, that's just you trying to shop around your entitlement. If you don't like their commissions, don't hire them, end of story

            1. stop being a moron, Butch will not frick you.

I've already known this before but it's pretty obvious nobody has commissioned you, so don't bring up experience. I've seen anatomy-fricked artists put more effort into their commissions. It looks awkward because it reveals the differences in how the two artists do things. The nip artist shows where the eyes are looking through the shape of the eye folds whereas Butch does the more cartoony holdover of physically moving the pupils, which doesn't look good in non-cartoony contexts. Butch was 100% "symbol drawing" what he imagines an "anime style eye" to be and then adjusting its pupil.

Ridiculous. You can't copyright a fricking pose, and anyone who complains should be simply ignored. On top of that it takes a lot of work to learn how to make a character express themselves like the actual series - actual crew members receive lengthy training to do it properly, which isn't going to take effect for one Commission
