My lab isn't aggressive, but he is very territorial. It's weird because he gets out of the fence on a semi-regular basis. If he's out of the fence, he's you best friend. Take that same person and put the dog inside the fence and his demeanor is totally different. I have a moronic neighbor that keeps trying to pet him over the fence because he knows he's friendly but doesn't seem to understand that fence Stan is a different dog than free Stan.
My great dane is the same... if he is in the truck with the window cracked he will bark at anyone near like he intends to kill them. If the window is all the way down, he is passive.
