Jerry acted like the wealthiest one, but Elaine was the only one who consistently had a proper job. Stand up is a badly paying job unless you land a TV show, and in-show Jerry had no TV show.

Jerry was wellknown and successful. Probably made a similar amount to Elaine

Well known amongst other comedians, not to the standard punter. Stage performance was a bit more lucrative in the 90s than it is now, but not much. It's a poor choice of gig if wealth is your goal.

Elaine was shown to have constant money trouble including being homeless in multiple episodes

Well when he bought a Cadillac for his dad, Elaine was drooling all over the place.

Didn't George had a long term job with the yankees then get a big payout when Susan died

      >get a big payout when Susan died
he got nothing because he made her sign a prenuptial agreement but they never even got married so he was entitled to nothing

Kramer because he takes whatever he wants. Nobody stops him. Also he is rich in friends.

Elaine was a trust fund baby. Remember the mohel episode. Jerry said something about her going to the best schools in the Northeast and now she's looking for mohel

Elaine’s dad was a pretty famous writer but I don’t know how much money she made since she had a roommate early on in the series where as the rest of the gang all lived on their own (until George had to move back home)

        Weren't they friends though?

No she wasn't, her father was a famous writer, she may have been raised well off, but the time she took out the deposit for the apartment in jerrys building she said she has 75 bucks left in her bank account. When someone offered 5000 for the apartment she couldn't afford to match it unless she borrowed from jerry.

Elaine was aroused by how much Seinfeld made. He was a touring comic so he probably made good money, he was on the tonight show a few times according to the show.
Plus Jerry and Kramer lived in a rent controlled apartment so they didn’t spent as much as George and Elaine did just to live.

Without memeing too much it'd have to be Kramer since he's able to fill 100% of his time with zany projects and odd jobs but is still able to afford an identical lifestyle to Jerry. He has the same apartment and he owns a car. I have always imagined that scene where he has dinner with that rich old couple buying the painting of him to be the secret to his income. Like he just gets rich people to patronize him because they're so captivated by him. Maybe even got some with no family to leave him their money at some point. Obviously it's better not knowing exactly how Kramer is able to afford his lifestyle but you could make an educated guess. He's also shown a willingness to sue a big company so maybe he got some huge settlement in the past.

He lives in a rent controlled apartment and sponges off Jerry and other friends. I wouldn't call that wealthy.

Yeah but that still doesn't mean free. Kramer does absolutely no work 90% of the time. He has to have some serious cash reserves. He owns a car too.

you don't get rich writing checks.
        >Kramer was the biggest israelite on the show

    Jerry was probably the wealthiest.

    1. Big apartment
    2. Computer
    3. Bought dad a Cadillac
    4. Elaine wants to frick him after seeing a paycheck
    5. Has flown first class before
    6. Has a car in New York

      They all had cars

Elaine did not and George did not. Elaine borrows Jerry's car to go to the flea market with George. George borrows his dad's car. Kramer has a car, but it's a shitbox.

Jerry was a big enough comedian to get his own sitcom early in the show. So he was doing quite well

but the sitcom didn't make it past the pilot
In universe jerry's career always mirrored pre-sitcom real life jerrys intentionally
