Why are cats so hated in media?

You ever notice that cats are often depicted badly in media? From being designed ugly or being villains, even when a character throws something or gets into a fight, the yowl of a cat is heard.

    They're not like dogs where their affection is largely transactional and even a piece of shit can buy their loyalty. If you have a lousy personality, they wont approach or like you.
