Their culture is very machismo focused. Which generally means men assert themselves to some extent.
Then you get some damn nerd raised in a machismo culture and he will confidently go out and assert his cartoon preferences in his life.
>Then you get some damn nerd raised in a machismo culture and he will confidently go out and assert his cartoon preferences in his life.
That sounds GIGA based if I do say so myself
It's still so weird to me that 12yos in 1996 who watched the original SJ grew up to be 40yo weirdos who hated breasts and shit and that's why the manchildren/trannies/obese childless women who watched the sequel got the breasts removed.
It came from Spain and it ruined everything it touched, why the frick do you want to get it? To find meaning in your pathetic life? To reinvent the masculinity you somehow lost? Brown homies have been backstabbing, murdering and fricking each other for the past 200 years or so, why in Mary's Sweet Holy Name would you want any of that shit?
Kick Buttowski is one of the few western protagonists of the last two decades that portrays masculinity in a positive way so Latinos, who aren't conditioned to hate men like the US, appreciate the character.
If only Kick Buttowski was liked for similar reasons outside of Latam, it's one of Disney's more niche cartoons and a good chunk of fans seem to be into it for shipping autism.
I don't get what I'm supposed to look at here. What's OP b***hing about exactly? Does he hate this specific cartoon and can't stand anyone else liking it?
I always see the hardest looking hispanic dudes with fricking Shrek or Incredible Hulk decals on their cars. I think its a sorta "you have to earn the right to be this goofy" kind of thing.
Or they saw Shrek, and thought "he's literally me" because of his attitude.
sopas

No estoy seguro de esto, Kick.

It's not.
I don't know. Why do you create so many threads about latinos?
I wish that was the design Lola actually had in new Space Jam.

definitely the childhood crush i'm the least proud of. if you're from latam you'll know it was the voice.
Big ass and sexo voice, absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

Latino Machismo is fascinating to me. Where did it come from and how do I learn more?

Like what?
Is Kick Buttowski really that popular in Latin America?
Not sure how popular, but it is pretty well known in there
It is, as far I can tell there seems to be a somewhat subculture around the show. I guess the dubbing did a lot of favours.
You reminded me of this shirt a flower delivery guy was wearing.

Culturally insignificant. Don't worry about it.

Who cares this is now a Kick Buttowski thread, favorite episode?
They prefer Latinx or Latine
Bolivians love their buses
