Why are midlife crisis movies so different for men and women?

Why are midlife crisis movies so different for men and women? For women it is always about traveling to a beautiful new country and having lovers or whatever, but for men they are usually about being depressed and having no spark of joy in life anymore? Are there any encouraging, upbeat ones for men, like road trip movies or something?

Why doesn't motorcycle midlife crisis man ride a bicycle instead?
Motorcycles are objectively less free than bicycles and on a bicycle you can only go fast if you are strong, whereas a motorcycle will go just as fast for pretty much anyone.

You can ride a bicycle at any point of your life but a motorbike requires time, effort and money. This is why men get into motorbikes relatively late in their lives because there's just not enough free time especially with family life and the money could be spent much more wisely then.

And when the children are grown you finally get a bike, only to find that it's not enough to build your whole life around. At least with travelling you can really see different places and I'd imagine it fills the hole much more efficiently.

It's kinda the same without kids because when you reach middle age, the dream of a family is pretty much gone and you still need to fill that hole.

The modern fetishization and lifestyle cult/identity brand surround nu-urban planning has nothing to do with the fact that it's nice to walk or ride a bicycle and everything to do with the fact that there are entire generations of pussies who are basically entirely helpless and have been raised to hate themselves. The only opportunity for self actualization and outward (passive) aggression they have is to try to destroy anything that doesn't fit into this mold and drag it down to their level, which they do through screeching and social shaming mechanisms magnified by technology. Because they want everything to be pathetic like they are, it is incredibly important to have centralization and that everything can be made the same. They are envious people in love with and ashamed of their own weakness, and so they ask the government and the tech companies to do what is right and make everyone equal, to ban the motorcycle and the pickup truck and force the others to finally admit how nice it is use public transportation with all the other equal people, how everyone is more free packed in the bus, packed in the train with their fellow Humans, on the bus with their fellow Humans, finally made free by the power of the State with their fellow Humans. Everyone should come to embrace this better world of their own volition, this world without the motorcycle or the pickup truck, done so out of a desire for freedom and under penalty of death.

If I had to take an incel point of view, women always want to be lost in an adventure of excitement, men only go through it when they have lost their purpose or no longer recognize what it was.

No, that makes you a sex tourist and enforces harmful stereotypes about male sexuality and toxic masculinity

Certainly many of us have worked hard and handled suffering in quiet dignified ways, out of both respect for ourselves and deference to others. For what reasons are we too not entitled to eat, to pray, and to love?

Sharing roads with bikers is so moronic. They are loud, annoying, and have emissions a car would never be allowed. They often have a radio playing which is the most pointless thing imaginable as it only serves to annoy other people at red lights. An accident that would typically result in just $1000 in damage to a vehicle often kills bikers (who aren't even required to wear a helmet in my state even though drivers get ticketed for no seatbelt). It raises insurance costs while their sue-happy trailer park family waits for their chance. Their drivers are the dumbest people in existence. It follows that they think they're the best drivers on the road. "Make room for bikers" as they weave between cars in traffic. "Look twice, save a life", as they roll through 4 way stops. And they have no concept of defensive driving while they're riding on a literal 2 wheel death trap. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing one stranded under a bridge in a downpour because he can't check the weather. No wonder they're thwarted by grass clippings.

Lost in Translation is considered to be a good midlife crisis movie by many. Bill Murray does travel to another country, but he's actually there on work. But even in the little flares of happiness he gets in the movie, it is still heavily tinged with sadness. And he certainly doesn't get any pussy. And implicit in the film is the suggestion that this was the man's last hurrah in life, and a subdued and resigned one at that.
