Why are the male characters on this show so emotional?

While the women on this show are tougher than the men. Is Holywood trying to emasculate men?

It’s worse than a kid’s show. Then it suddenly gets brutal and then it goes back to being shit again like nothing happened. I quit it after I googled if the main character actually dies in the popular meme I was hyped for (he of course doesn’t)

yeah I'm sick of this media trying to trick you that women can be moral or thoughtful lmao. how is this media still persisting when everyone after millenials figured out its bullshit

they just follow the biggest sociopath in the room

because you're supposed to care about the men. omni man and invincible struggling against their heritage of an evil empire and their genes or whatever is far more interesting than seeing chinese momma not give a frick about being almost killed

It's not very realistic. I can't even cry even if I wanted to and most men I know can't, yet Marky seems to get the tear works every few episodes.

it is what it is. this show is literally just what if dragon ball z focused more on the drama. i read it last year and i thought it was ok but the more i think about it the less i like it. the ending is super botched too imo

I mean I get going all feely feely to appeal to zoomies and emotionally in touched millenials and to show a compelling character arc. But this season, there was just too much...almost like everyone in the show is an overly emotional depressive. And In the real world, men just bury that shit deep until you're numb and focus on doing things as distractions. They've written men in these comics like men are women when it comes to dealing with trauma or emotional pain.

    Yep sounds about right

I'd say you're right, but men aren't criers. Crying is actually very difficult for men because of testosterone.but we do feel the pits of pain and have better empathy than the average sociopath known as a female

If they were trying to make Nolan sympathetic they should've refrained from all the gratuitous shock violence that didn't happen in the comic.

Either way Nolan massacred Earth's Greatest Heroes, who dedicated their lives to saving others.
He's not supposed to be the sympathetic nice guy. The rest of the comic/show is a long slow march towards putting his life to constructive purpose, not redemption or forgiveness.

    >While the women on this show are tougher than the men
Eve, the main female character on the show (now alongside Debbie) literally had an emotional breakdown and quit the superhero profession.
She only gets back into the game because she gets counseling from a male hero who's whole life is suffering yet keeps his chin up.
Mark goes through some hero related trauma and resolves to improve himself so it never happens again.

If you bothered to read or at the very least pay attention to the show, you'd know that Viltrumites suffer from being essentially Gods among humans. This leads them to become cruel, distant, and.disconnected. The entire literal point about Invincible is that in a world where Gods roam the Earth, what kinds of Gods will they be. Will they be distant conquering Gods interested in only their motivations, will they be so numb to death that it means nothing to them, will they live so long that they became nothing more than wild animals, or will they question themselves and wonder if they are truly helping. Mark in particular is learning that he is a God and the challenges that go along with that. He desperately clings to his humanity in order not to become the cruel Gods he has seen, but deep down he knows that he feels the same at times and has the same reactions. His greatest fear is that he will give into them. So to answer your question, they are emotional because most the male characters you see have literally lost their capacity for empathy to "humanity" (really any anity, bug alien etc) and they experience arcs to redevelop, regain, and relearn their own mortality

one main thing I like about this show is that artists are not scared of drawing good looking ass for the male characters. you never see that in anime
