full plate infantry or dismounted knights/men at arms became the standard on the battlefield between the mid 15th century to early to mid 16th century. It's not the best representation of the 16th century as a whole but it's valid. OP should have linked a picture showing more of a mixed pike formation with lighter armor.
Liberal normalhomosexual morons falling for israeli scams like always. History is overrun with homosexuals nowadays because its trendy. Clever enough to study sources and compile data, not clever enough to avoid shit like homosexualry and come to their own conclusions.
It's a somewhat obscure period of history for a lot of people, between the middle ages and the Revolutionary/Napoleonic times. Also a western focused movie would likely have to address colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade, which they are loathe to do.
There's still a lot of media from this period, though. Obviously Shogun is a recent example.
I've seen the first episode of Boundless and the movie Anonymous set in that timeframe and they have a shitty dark shadowy filter. It's not just medieval movies that do this.
because modern history of consequence starts with ww1, which in of itself only serves as a prelude to ww2.

Why do young men interested in history so often become trannies? Very weird phenomenon

Are you stupid? Don't get mad at me because you have no idea what you're talking about.
If you say "it's valid" you're a troony. Simple as. Change your language or keep outing yourself, not my problem.
I use valid because I speak English. A language older than trannies. You have brain rot.
Nothing wrong with that you moron
