    He betrayed Mel.

Mel ditched the role, not backwards.
The funny part is that Miller is still assblasted about things Hardy said to him a decade ago and didn't feature him.

        >Miller is still assblasted about things Hardy said to him a decade ago and didn't feature him
I thought Hardy apologized after he saw the finished product?

He did, but Miller is still asshurt about it.

        about what?

Hardy basically told him that he was a hack director that didn't knew how to do his job because Miller was too busy setting setpieces over and over again instead of telling the actors what he exactly wanted.
Even Charlize Theron was annoyed by him but she was a bootlicker to Miller (she also didn't knew what the frick she was doing but she didn't complained as often and loudly like Hardy) and that annoyed Hardy and then the Hardy-Theron beef started.

well at the end he made kino movie so i guess he knows what's he doing

On fairness, both Hardy and Theron ended up publicly apologising to George once they saw the finished product.

They did but you can see in Miller's face that he didn't accept them.

        >Mel ditched the role, not backwards.
Not really. Miller said he'd never cast Mel again before Fury Road's release. Mel still loves the franchise and I absolutely do believe he can be convinced to star in it. Miller is just a homosexual cuck, obeying his israeli masters.

Mel ditched the role in the really, really early stages (early 00's) because he already felt he was too old to be an action star. The rest did happen, but Mel understood that he couldn't be like Cruise and try to be an eternal action star.

Or... And hear me out here... Maybe because this film has literally nothing to do with Mad Max (save for a cameo that lasts maybe two seconds, and lets be honest, no one is going to pay Hardy's fee for a blink and you miss it cameo).

This is it. Frick him for not calling Mel for Fury Road. Scumbag needs to pay for that betrayal.

I liked fury road well enough. but at no point did I ever think "Ooh I need a movie that tells me how that character became that character"
Its just not necessary also all the trailers made it look like an ugly cgi nightmare where as the last one looked way more tactile and real.

This pretty much sums it up for me. Hearing about a Furiosa spinoff didn't excite me. My enthusiasm lessened with each update on the spinoff
      >prequel
      >recast Charlize
      >cast Anya
      >coming before The Wasteland
Now the dust has settle I feel betrayed knowing the success of Furiosa is what the Wasteland was depending on.

trailers were def rough but in the theater it's totally fine and not noticeable. WB really fricked up the marketing for this with using unfinished shots

Rough cuts are good PR only if it's Nolan or "MCU".

    >Fury Road comes out in 2015
    >Massive success, loved by critics, fans, and revives the Mad Max brand
    >Have all this momentum to make another entry
    >Wait almost 10 fricking years to release another movie
    >It's a prequel
    >Max is not in it
    >It features Furiosa played by flavor of the month Anya Taylor-Joy
    >Chris Hemsworth with a fake nose
    >None of the ingenuity in practical effects from Fury Road brought over to this one
    >CGI slop turned up to 11
He deserves everything he got. I doubt he cares though, he's too busy sucking Kojima's dick now so that he makes the Mad Max game he dreams of.

      >>Wait almost 10 fricking years to release another movie
I believe that WB was wary of him because they barely recouped costs with Fury Road and Miller sued them about the small earnings they actually had.

      >Massive success
Financially Fury Road just barely crossed the barrier into profit. It wasn't a massive success on that front at all. It just about covered it's cost all things considered.

The hype for Fury Road came after its release though. It was not a box office hit, but it was a huge cultural phenomenon back when it released. In that sense, it was a massive success and one easily you could make a movie ride on. Same way the first DUNC was a bomb, but via word for mouth the second movie made a lot of money. (even though I myself found both movies unremarkable slop).

Because he wanted to suck troony wiener in stead of making manly films.
