It was on Netflix in countries that didn't have HBO Max because they already waited 2ish years to air it so they didn't want to wait longer.

The homosexual new generation won't watch anything that isn't about underage girls

      >implying zoomers care about people in their mid-20s and 30s
Apparently, 30 is practically retirement age to them.

You do know the oldest zoomers are in their mid-20's right?

You do know teenagers consider those boomers, right? It boils down to not being a teenager.

I know, since I'm at the end of the line. Older zoomers often get lumped in with young millennials sorta like how Bridgette gets lumped in with the older cast

It’s ok man if there’s one thing I learned in life it’s that I hate anyone that judges based on age.

It would have done better if it came out on the tbs block like it was meant to
They kind of missed their time to shine
Still, three seasons is pretty good

    promotion and distribution

CN gave RS a great slot and a lot of ads, CE got delayed bumped from tv to streaming and no one ever knew when more was coming out or not

not to mention I think a comedy getting a whole season dumped out on a streaming service at once is a very bad idea, plot driven shows that makes some sense for but a comedy like this should have been drawn out with weekly releases

Regular show was a shameless show about guys being guys, and having ridiculous fun.
Close enough was married drama cope that stunk, why would I watch a show about real life when I already have to deal with it.

I enjoyed this show, but even I have to say that season 1 was rough. You only get one chance at making a good first impression, and they botched it. Might not have been their fault, but them's the breaks.

when it was cancelled there were a ton of people responding to tweets about saying they had no idea he got another show, so the promotion wasn’t great
But it was also just caught up in the whole Louis CK/TBS block fiasco that caused delays and at this point it’s clear most Max stuff is getting nuked, we can probably determine it’s a “nothing personal, kid” situation

Tbs then straight to streaming. Also it wasn't good or had that spark for interest. Can't all be winners.

Unceremoniously dumped on HBO Max with no promotion, plus it doesn’t look like a Family Guy or Rick & Morty clone so most people would pass it over without thought.

No, and that's exactly what kept Close Enough from meeting Regular Show's level. The dynamic of the former doesn't come close to the groundskeeper bros. Alex was funny tho.

I liked regular show just fine up until the unending shipping bloat plot drama started. Now I watch this other show and first of all, it doesn't catch my eye, the characters lack the quirkness and uniqueness they had in RS, srcondly if I watched this shit I just will be dreading the moment they start to push their soap operaic drama.
I don't need to watch a knock off version of Regular Show just like I don't need to watch a knock off version of Rick & Morty whitch I doubt I'll watch again.

Barely any fappable characters despite all of Regular Show's hottest women being human. I don't know where the disconnect occurred.

Close enough sucked. It falls into the same trap all “adult cartoons” go into. Hahahahahaha curse words!!!! Hahahahahahaha joke about sex!!! Western adult cartoons are lazy and their writers are hacks. The restrictive nature of having to be suitable for younger audiences makes for better cartoons. Adult cartoons will never be good unless they have constant supervision.

Try to be a "mature cartoon show". Not absurd enough plot. Not enough furry characters.
