lmao what? It was like a half a movie cobbled together after a fire ruined the film. The effects are worse, the story is worse, the pacing is worse, they ruin the Cenobites with an anti-cenobite beam that turns you back into a little boy(?) and apparently you can just turn into one in 2 minutes.1 is the only good one. Picrel is what we get in 2 instead of the kino Chatterer design.
This. Barker himself admitted in an interview that Pt. 2 was shit out in like six months, including writing and editing it, because the studio wanted something NOW. It has enjoyable aspects, but it pales in comparison to Pt. 1.
I hate that they give any Cenobites any backstory whatsoever. It fricking ruins everything, like trying to explain why Michael Myers is a psycho.
Doesnt Dr psych dude essentially seek leviathan /its power directly? Whereas the Cenobites are more indenpendant operators.

Artists are kind of hyper-moronic. So restraints on them usually work out for the better.
The movies are really bad but the two novels (A Hellbound Heart and The Scarlet Gospels) are incredibly kino.
How gay are the books?
I don't know about Scarlet Gospels, but the Hellbound Heart wasn't gay from what I remember.

Scarlet Gospels was ghost written by Mark Millar (not the comic guy) and it's incredibly obvious once you get past the first chapter that was Barker's. It also ends with Pinhead fighting Satan and the pair shoot laser beams at one another as they fly around Hell like goth Dragon Ball Z.
I don't care if he's a gay hack writer if he can direct kino movies
