Nah...if they had a good story, it could have been awesome. But i feel like the Wackowskis auto-sabotaged themselves with that one, going full on meta-moronic.
It was a shit movie for those who like to eat shit.
What a fricking shit post. >It could have been good if the story was good!
Wow what a hot take. The story being shit is far from the movies only problem. The recasts are shit, the acting in general is shit, and most.importantly the few action setpieces and fights the movie has are absolute dogshit. The first movie revolutionized action/fight scenes and this movie had some of the laziest and most horrible ones ever put to screen.
You clearly have zero knowledge about this movies development, it was never going to be good.
I let myself get hyped for it which was a massive mistake. I should have known better with only one post-troon Wachowski and practically no creative carry over from the trilogy.
I watched it because at the very least I expected ONE memorable action scene or decent fight. I remember during early development someone on the crew was talking about how the first movie had all this unique stylish action and effects/camera techniques that revolutionized movies, and how they were pushing those same boundaries again with this movie. Turned out to be 100% bullshit PR
If you watch it again with troony memes in mind then you realize the entire thing was troony commentary.
Though for most people that's why too under the radar so they assume the writing is mostly arbitrary.
Because, for all its ideas, The Matrix was a stylish action movie with very good action. So was Reloaded, whatever its deficiencies. Resurrections is neither stylish nor much of an action movie despite committing itself to a standard action plot after the first act.
Did Keanu Call it in like he did for the bill&ted movie? I wouldnt put it past the lazy shitter. I will kill both him and alex for what they did to bill&ted
Keanu and Alex were some of the least shit parts of Bill and Ted 3. The different versions of Bill and Ted they meet while looking for the perfect song are actually funny.
Rufus's daughter, Bill's daughter, the daughters' journey to basedface at a much lamer roster of historical figures than 1, doing Hell a second time but with bad CGI instead of soulful miniatures, and the dogshit "threat" and "climax" are what sink B&T3
Isnt the official story that the studio approached the Sisters and said "we are remaking this movie with or with out you" so they signed on and made a shitty remake of the original as a on-the-nose satire of the modern movie industry?
Its not good, its not meant to be good, its not meant to be read into, its meant to be forgotten.
I never got why it looked so shitty but the first one looked so good? Even the second and third felt like it had scale. Everything felt like it was on set
It's the only good movie after the first one. It's absolutely worth watching. The last renaissance part 1/2 are the best shorts. Can probably find them on youtube
Lazy and/or bad visual effects, cgi, and choreography
Film spends a quarter of its runtime making fun of itself/prior Matrix content
Recasts aren't close to par with the originals
Absolutely pointless sequence with Niobe in laughably bad fake-old makeup, absolutely pointless sequence with the Merovingian, etc.
Tons of totally unnecessary other characters with little to no screentime or purpose
Ending sequence is cringe in every way possible
Taking out the action altogether and making a psychological drama focusing on Neo's life as it was working for the software company / his relationship with Trinity / the analyst angle could have actually been a really good movie. What they had to do was to focus on presenting ideas that dovetail with the scenario, rather than masturbatory retreading of Matrix-esque formalisms, which they mock while they nonetheless engage in them.
Anyway, NPH did a great job, and Jessica Henwick (Bugs) gave a fine performance as well, which was a pleasant surprise. Film does present some bits of considerable interest, but as a whole it just ain't good
I like it more than most and I think that while it ended in a logical way and has a lot of cool moments, it focuses too much on Zion and it's fight and there's very little time spent in the Matrix.
They should have made 2 and 3 more grounded. They gave Neo too much power and it would have balanced out the philosophy more. The fights feel weightless and without stakes.
Soulless reboot that makes some jokes about being a soulless reboot before fully committing to being a soulless reboot. The whole experience is exasperating af because you keep hoping there's a mindbending revelation coming and it never arrives...they front-load the "twist" and then unravel it to get to the boringly conventional ending.
Checked and correct-pilled. 1 > 2 > 4 > 3. At least the meme movie it became was a frick you to the studio. It's like Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 for trannies.
Movie was awful dreck, but I wonder how much shooting during Covid hindered them. I wouldve just shelved production until restrictions lifted. Or just not fricking started at all. Then again, jusging by the script I saw onscreen I doubt there was any salvaging it. I read that one wachowski returned to keep WB from moving forward with them anyway but from what I saw I wouldve rather someone else took a crack at it. At leadt it wouldnt tarnish the legacy of the original creators.
Because the Wachowski Trannies knew they couldn't actually do any sequels that would be good and didn't want to try, but WB were determined to dig up the corpse and rape the body anyway, so in retaliation one of them intentionally made Matrix 4 so bad that it killed the franchise (hopefully for good). They literally say so in the film.
race swapping
bad script
the inescapable feeling that nothing in matrix 4 mattered in the context of the original trilogy and should just be ignored
woke
also the action looked god awful. i would have watched the whole thing if there were some good stunts or something but i turned it off after 30 minutes when it was clear they spent next to nothing on the action scenes
Unironically too smart for Matrix fans
>You didn't get it
Too little too late sequel to a trilogy with one good movie.
Nah...if they had a good story, it could have been awesome. But i feel like the Wackowskis auto-sabotaged themselves with that one, going full on meta-moronic.
It was a shit movie for those who like to eat shit.

Go Woke, Go Broke
The movie was anti-indentity politics
Trinity is the new One.
>a film made by a troon who said the films are reallly about trooning out
The original trilogy was woke as frick, idiot
>it was a trans allegory!!
Deluded troon, as usual
No you fricking moron, it's woke because it's full of Black folk, hispanics and other "diverse" characters with liberal politics.
The original trilogy of the matrix is full of woke diversity.
moron.
>diverse cast = woke
This delusional troon fell for the troony psyop
Go cut your dick already, moron.
Yeah you don't know what woke is lmao fricking idiot take a break from the internet.
Damn other dude REKT
>ignoring the post that disproves him becaue it upsets him
uh oh, trannetti got upsetti
Diverse characters who don't exist to hate straight white men are anti-woke, you dumb homosexualismo.
I forgot all the anal sodomy and grooming scenes.
This.
Matrix was always pozzed shit.
Diversity. Leaning into the LGBT shit more. DudeKeanuLMAOxD is also a shell of himself post Wick 1.
This, ironic innit lad?
lol all the films are woke
You don't know what woke means
How the frick was it woke?
If you watch it again with troony memes in mind then you realize the entire thing was troony commentary.
Though for most people that's why too under the radar so they assume the writing is mostly arbitrary.
NOOOO YOU CAN'T SAY THAT AIIIIIEEEEE
Everyone knew it was unnecessary and would be horrible
Cringeworthy cash grab
Oops, it lost money. A cringeworthy attempt at a cash grab.
made purely so that execs couldn't make someone else do something even worse
It should've been tied to the original on the meta level not the plot level.
Because, for all its ideas, The Matrix was a stylish action movie with very good action. So was Reloaded, whatever its deficiencies. Resurrections is neither stylish nor much of an action movie despite committing itself to a standard action plot after the first act.
Sequels should be banned.
Did Keanu Call it in like he did for the bill&ted movie? I wouldnt put it past the lazy shitter. I will kill both him and alex for what they did to bill&ted
Lmfao this movie was actually pure shit. Keanu Reeves it seemed like he was improvising his dull ass lines on the spot lmao

Its not good, its not meant to be good, its not meant to be read into, its meant to be forgotten.
crap cast, rehashed story, few interesting visuals
>We made it bad on purpose... as a joke.
The worst kind of cope from them tbqh
Trinity has hit the wall and Keanu looked better without the shitty beard
It was garbage
After watching it, you’ll realise that the wachowksi sisters have a lot to learn from their brothers kek
Too smart, it filtered most of the audience who just expected a le action movie.
The action was day time tv tier, was that a joke too?
This cost more than Oppenheimer and looks like it was made for TV
I never got why it looked so shitty but the first one looked so good? Even the second and third felt like it had scale. Everything felt like it was on set
Is the animatrix good
It's the only good movie after the first one. It's absolutely worth watching. The last renaissance part 1/2 are the best shorts. Can probably find them on youtube
Chuds, COVID-19, Maga cultists, basically every reason other than Americans are sick of trannies.
Look what you have done chuds, you made this MA'AM cry! Are you happy with yourself now? Are you?!
People are getting Keanu-fatigue
Because it sucked on purpose and wasted people's time.
the beyond the veil movies dont make sense yet
Because of only the first matrix was Amy good and it was obviously a ripoff because those guys failed to make another good movie.
Gay meta plot that tried to be too smart, also Wachoswki sisters
>Why did it fail?
Written and directed by women
Releasing it in Korea, Thailand, and Russia three days early probably didn't help.
Lazy and/or bad visual effects, cgi, and choreography
Film spends a quarter of its runtime making fun of itself/prior Matrix content
Recasts aren't close to par with the originals

Because it had to.
started watching just now. suprisingly metatextual.
It ended after the first movie.
Everything after that wasn't canon.
This.
Except for Animatrix. Some of those shorts were absolutely kino.
I don't understand how you frick up that hard after 20 years. You had 20 years to do it right and you did it even worse than Revolutions. How?
Why do people hate Revolutions? It was the most logical ending to the Matrix, at least, this trilogy.
Zion was half the runtime and no one cares about Zion.
It didn't need to be made. Even less the 2 and 3.
This. They could've just made a mindless martial arts shoot em up at that point. At least it'd be fun to look at.
Checked and correct-pilled. 1 > 2 > 4 > 3. At least the meme movie it became was a frick you to the studio. It's like Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 for trannies.
Only the first movie was good, it was a fluke.
Movie was awful dreck, but I wonder how much shooting during Covid hindered them. I wouldve just shelved production until restrictions lifted. Or just not fricking started at all. **moving forward without them

Neo doesn't hold a gun once
The story for the Matrix franchise was already over. It was an obvious cash-grab sequel to a complete story.
