Yes. 2005-20015 were still relatively sane and Hollywood was mostly free from the current diversity hire mediocrities and dried-up, inept older women execs.
Wrong. From 2013-2015 these were released:
Man of Steel
The Great Beauty
Captain Phillips
Whiplash
Gone Girl
American Sniper
The Revenant
Considering their themes, the acclaim they got would become artificially harder to attain even though they deserved it and deserve it now.
In 2015 some deliberately woke shitfests started being released and overrated: Fury Road, Creed, Beasts of no Nation etc.
The #oscarssowhite participation trophy nonsense started being reflected in movies and awards. Likewise the "gamergate" overblown counterreaction against "misogyny" which ultimately made the American videogame and comics industry deflated and plagued by mediocrities.
That's not the point because those aren't woke except for some vague inklings of le stronk wymmin in Frozen.
Soulless movies have always existed but they weren't plagued by woke idiocy such as, for instance, Haunting in Venice which is a genre movie burdened by pointless race/gender pandering

I don't care about wokeness. I care that most movies from 2013-2015 were soulless and sucked balls.
Was going to say the same thing. This is when streaming seemed to overtake network and cable TV with normies. The last big network shows were greenlit around this time, which is why you still had some good shows into the late 2010s.
Animated films stayed good, Wrestling was still kino, video games were getting better, animated shows were still pretty good. especially at WB. And nick was still really good. music was still good. Star Wars games popped. Toys were still good.
Movie-making started to become more digitised, rather than analogue, circa 2005. Not just in terms of shooting on digital rather than film, but using CGI and green-screen instead of miniatures and sets, etc. Now the difference between making something for YouTube and making something intended for theatrical-release can be almost identical on a purely technical level.
>Why did most forms of entertainment started to decline/get soulless and corny in this year?
the prequels set the precedent. people will watch and pay for slop.
1999 onwards >Phantom Menace was a precursor to the current Marvel slop we have now >Shrek introducing self-referential laziness >Harry Potter normalizing witchcraft and pedantic theorybait tranny trash >Computer animation becoming the dominant medium for animated feature films >An increase in studios backing up established IPs
The early 2000s was a prelude to the mess we find ourselves in today.
The generation that grew up on the left column is responsible for the media that the generation that grew up on the right column consumed. The message here isn't what you think it is
I would say 2015

No. 2012 was the last year that was even remotely soulful. 2013 onwards is the shit era.
Fuck off spammer
Shut up zoomer

2013-2015 also had complete garbage like Frozen, 22 Jump Street, and Avengers Age of Ultron. It was too deep into soulless territory.

One thing is directly linked to the other.
Frozen is a fine movie

I dono dude, you have anything less negative to say?
More accurately 2000.
Maybe, but 2000-2004 still had enough pre-2000 kino coming down the pipeline like the LOTR trilogy. By 2005 it was ogre.
diversity among production staff hit critical mass

late 2006 is where things took a turn.
Nick died in 1998-1999 when CN took over. You can’t say things like Chalkzone and As told by ginger was good.
Oh this is a bait thread. Nevermind then.
pathetic bait at that.
I remember when every year you could expect at least one excellent movie and now there is literally nothing lol fuck me this sucks AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
That would be 2011. 2007 was already showing cracks though.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) was one of the final 2000s kinos.

You mean 2009 right? 2005 was kino.

Things were over once the culture war with Trump's election began. /thread.
Whenever you turned 16
Why do you spam this every day for the past four years
i see that and I see a zoomer thinking he's better than another zoomer when in fact you are both zoomers and losers

The greatest album of all time was released that year so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
OP is a zoomer who was too young to properly appreciate 2005
Because that's when you grew up.
