Yeah for a remake of a 30's movie they didn't have to go the extra mile for such extensive worldbuilding on a small, doomed island. Especially for names of animals, locales, flora, other fauna etc

King Kong + Sky Captain

The ending was boring.
There are specific scenes and sequences that are great, but as a whole the movie just doesn't really work.
