He can still pretend he's living a fake life, but of course it wouldn't have been the same since he reactions aren't genuine anymore.

It's a garden of Eden allegory. At this point the creator doesn't want to keep Truman in for the sake of the show but to protect him from the world of suffering he's not ready to face.

it's a gnostic film, "god" "created man in his own image" out of pure ego, there's no higher motive or meaning, anything you learn about the deeper cogs of the universe is done without his assistance.

How did they number the seasons for the Truman Show in universe? By years old? Was there 30 seasons of the show before he left?

How much is shown? Every second? Does someone in that world have a closet that's just Truman Show vhs tapes from top to bottom?

Because it shows that the show creater is willing to continue a farce rather than face the reality that the show is over, while Truman has the capacity to know and accept this.

In a sense, then, the show creator is way more flawed than Truman, who was only living a lie because he was unaware, while the show runner is willing to live a lie while being completely aware

it's not inadvertent. the gnosticism in this film is off the charts and hitting you over the head.

One of my favorite parts is when Cristof almost shits his pants talking to Truman for the first time, and Truman doesn't know or care who he is. Real primordial truth, blood and fire stuff

Truman didn't know, not for sure. If you crush his dream right at the end, he's your forever. Failing to brave the storm would've done that.
It's the same with all the anons here, saying that they don't need women and doing massive coping. They're broken.
