it's hell to be robbed from death to be a crude mockery of a human.
No it's not
how would you know?
you wouldn't believe me if I told you
>explains the 41% situation on a nutshell
underrated
Why is this scene more memorable than the entire rest of the movie?
I don't even remember the scene at all
Oh, frick off.
The "you said you were just going to scare him" scene is still a fan favorite
The movie literally says, the first had the perfect psych profile for it which none of the others had thus committed suicide.
>the first had the perfect psych profile for it which none of the others had thus committed suicide.
So he basically had most cucked psych profile and was too much of a b***h to off himself after being subjected to horrific cyborgification.
No, idiot. He was actually trying to get his wife back, which was the whole problem.
more or less yeah. he was your average well-meaning white dad, trusting the system, becoming a cop, watching cop shows, trying to make the world a little better through fighting crime. the type of guy who identifies with his job
keep in mind he JUST got transferred from a safer area. if he had been a Detroit cop for a few years, he might have gotten too jaded for the Robocop transition to take.
H'es a catholic man with a family. That gave him the will to carry on.
Not just that, keep in mind the surgeons kept his face for a reason, its easier to keep your identity together when you can still see it
They should have put the kid into a robot
He died how he wanted
that black lady is the most beautiful lady ive ever seen
Thats a spic
Senator Armstrong?
Don't be a queer.
Outsourcing
2 wasn't that good, but damn did they nail the design for robocain.
this shit is scarier and more functional than any terminator
Bitches don't know bout muh homie RoboCable.
Hey RobertCop, one medium popcorn and sprite please
no popcorn, only chicken.
I thought robocop was filmed in dallas. That shit is obviously downtown LA.
Have you guys never actually seen robocop?
robowhat now?
parts of it on tiktok yeah why
I got duped by the 80s aesthetic. Damn my zoomer brain.
Holy frick bros, what is this I'm dying here. Is this real verhoven?
It was his initial pitch. 120 minutes of violent castration.
he told the studios that it was "taking the tops off dicks" and got it greenlit so fast your head'd spin
>now I am a woman
FatalFarm bringing it
why are they still even trying to rape after the first guy got his penis blown off?
purely socioeconomic factors
Same guys responsible for LasagnaCat
would he shoot a troony?
If she was trying to rape someone, yes.
In fact, it's a good way to get a quick reassignment operation.
I don’t remember this scene at all in the version I pirated, maybe the first guy that got shot but that was it
It’s from a fan made “remake”
This wouldn’t work anymore because he would hit the womans penis and get sued and lose his job
Never seen it
taxpayer funded troony surgery, fricking bullshit
Holy frickin' kek this is amazing
Saved and god bless anon
RoboKellogg
They didn't take stairs into account. I mean honstely, who uses stairs these days anyway?
I didn't know Robocop still had human eyes.
Did you not watch the movie?
Sure I did, and a few thousand other movies. I can't remember every detail about everything, I'm not that autistic.
I guess it's just weird to see his eyes behind the visor.
That looks so fricking good goddamn
i fully expected this to look horrible in HD but how wrong I was. Just don't look at the adam's apple when he speaks
>suck znyder is a visionary director with amazing visuals
When I first realized that they'd skinned his corpse and stretched his original face over the metallic head, that was a whole new level of nightmare fuel.
Good practical effects will always age better than CGI.
that's what you get when you hire a real actor and not a diva that will b***h when makeup takes longer than 5 min
Weller was studying for his phd during his 4 hour makeup sessions to film 10 minutes of film
>Weller was studying for his phd during his 4 hour makeup sessions to film 10 minutes of film
Incredibly based. What the frick is wrong with nu-actors?
Robot on robot hate crime...this city only gets worse every day.
>literal autistic screeching
if it can't handle stairs how did it get up there to begin with? fricking dumb
Service elevator.
Too much cop, not enough robo
Bitches leave.
Should be a nerd.
Somehow is legit intimidating.
It was a different time. Joe Pesci was a bad guy in movies
Robocop 2 is like a meta narrative, the first movie had soul and it’s impossible to replicate, making a new robocop is a stupid idea, but robocop 2 has to be made anyways so they make him bigger louder and scarier in order to cover up his flaws (that he is a psychopath drug addict) and he still isn’t better than the original.
I love these fricking guys, bros.
The guy from Twin Peaks and the dad from that 70s show.
DONT TOUCH ME MAN
They had a reunion recently and Emil was the only one that didn't age like shit.
Name my band
Hero cop
The villains in Robocop were so much fun.
Murphy was a devout Catholic, and the notion of suicide was untenable.
>I GOT HIM, CLARENCE! I GOT
Dumb ESL.
easy sassy lover
Bitches leave.
all that and still had the strength to jump up on the table.
>Murphy.
Cyberpsychosis. Not even joking.
>Sayonara, Robocop!
No CGI. When compared to Cyborg in Justice League it looks great.
>I wonder what Verhoeven's been up to lately
>check wikipedia
>Benedetta is a 2021 biographical psychological drama film co-written and directed by Paul Verhoeven, starring Virginie Efira as Benedetta Carlini, a nun in the 17th century who joins an Italian convent while a young child and later has a lesbian love affair with another nun, while seeing religious visions
based
Honestly had no idea he was even still alive
The movie is great but it's gonna filter you.
The response to Hollow Man took away his joy of film making for a while.
I like how in RoboCop 2, baiscally all the shit happens because of a roastie that sucked the old man's wiener to get to her place.
they didn't want to live without their wieners
Cyberpsychosis.
>I'd buy that for a dollar!
Same thing that always happens after an initial success. homosexuals on the corporate board half-ass the follow-up
They didn't watch T.J. Laser, Anon.
I always wanted to see a diagram of Robocop's internal systems and structures it would probably be pretty cool to look at even if it's just made up bullshit, like that art of Raiden from MGS that shows how he's basically just like half a skull and some spinal column in MGS4.
Have you every tried searching 'Robocop Diagram'?
They did exactly that in the 2014 reboot, its actually a really good scene despite the rest of the movie.
It was the best scene of the movie - totally unexpected and horrifying but pushed the story along as well.
Pity about the rest of the movie. The actor was great, but the script was trash. Also focusing on the wife's story just stopped the movie dead in its tracks.
I remember nothing about the reboot other than the lame villains and the lazy evil ceo twist.
Felt like this could've had more potential since they got the director who made Elite Squad but squandered when the studio toned it down to pg13.
Robocop could have been a good movie but I just can't really forgive the fact that they retconned away Murphy's character arc from the first film. He remembers who he was before the operation, he's alive again. But then the sequel is like "nuh uh, everyone liked him when he acted like a machine, so we'll just forget that he got his humanity back and just treat him like a robot again."
I actually didn't mind the remake. Obviously there's no replacing the original but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would, and I think it could have been the start of a franchise. I guess other people in the audience were a lot less forgiving than me though.
The remake is a totally suitable movie with a lot of fun meta-commentary about marketing and creating a new robocop that people will like. It’s more about branding and designing this man into an iPhone-looking terrorist-killer whose job is to advertise and be a mascot for the company more than it is to solve any crime. It’s about a man being turned into a product
Perfect kino, amazing score and brilliant acting
Murphy had something to live for. These guys were just being tortured beyond death.
Greatest ending of all time.
"Nice shooting, whats your name son?"
"Murphy"
ROBOCOP
Where do we rank the theme music? Its a top 3 for me
As a police officer who was brutally murdered in the line of duty, the RoboCop movies really speak to me.
wow who killed you?
Trans propaganda and anti corporation lmao I wonder why!
