They didn't want to put the effort in making him truly hideous. He looks mildly burnt in the OP

Yes, it’s too unnerving. No one wants to see truly hideous people. It alienates the viewer

Deadpool still fricks. All you need is a gun and a samarai sword. & practice your quips.

        The b***hes will come.

Its primarily the reason black people are disliked in a visual medium
They make great voice actors though

    He's pretty accurate
Plus making him very grotesque would require a ridiculous amount of makeup and special effects

Is Deadpool immortal for the same reason as wolverine but in reverse?

      Anonymous

You know, I can't remember how it went down. Both Wolverine and Deadpool were apart of the Weapon X program. I think Wolverine already had mutant healing so they gave him an adamantium skeleton.

And they tried recreating the mutant X-gene artificially for Deadpool and it made his cancer break out physically like a rash? Or maybe he was melted/burnt pre-X gene and x factor thinks this is his default form?

        Anonymous

You kind of have it right. Basically because the healing factor makes everything in Deadpool's body invincible and regenerative and he had cancer at the time he got his healing factor, this includes all of the cancer cells in his body. His healing factor is making his cancer way worse but simulatenously making it inconsequential to his system and that's why he's disfigured

Cool, thx. You ever play the Deadpool video game? It was fun and definitely repetitive (basically just a smash em up). I fricking tore thru it in a weekend and returned it to Gamestop free of charge. They used to be cool about that.

Anyway, get this... one day I went back to buy it again and even the used copy was jacked the F up. I know they remastered it, but I ain't paying for that shit. I guess the films made the Deadpool game more expensive? Buncha bullshit. I still want that game, but I'm bitter.

Yeah I think I did actually but that was ages ago I think I was an early teen or maybe younger, it was back in the xbox 360 days right. I remember it being alright. Skate 2, Tony hawk games and Jet Set Radio Future were more my jam back then
I just checked its not on steam but I think you can torrent it

In some shots he looks genuinely bad. Like the ones where it looks like his lips are gone.
Anyways just having bad skin is already something that can put you from 7 to 4/3 really quickly, even if you look perfect otherwise

Worst attempt at being cheeky on this board. He has a gf, that's relatable to people. If you can't relate you're a loser

Copycat was murdered by Sabertooth in the comics. She also was 'Domino' for an year in X-Force (before she was with Deadpool). Vanessa Carlysle was a real character in the comics.

To shut up gay shiptards. That's why Rachel Dawes was created in Nolan Batman, even though she filled the role of early career Harvey Dent in the comics

You joke (gay shiptards), but the LGBTQ community will assimilate a popular character if you don't establish they're straight right away. Look at horror characters. Even Chucky is Queer Approved.

Plus, the Black person community already stole RoboCop! He's a white police officer and they're like no,
        >"You a Black slave to your cyborg body and the only thing that can heal you white man, is the black man's food. Get in your knees RoboPig. You're our slave now, homie!"

        >To shut up gay shiptards.
Gay shiptards give zero fricks about your sexuality-consent. Ironically the only ones who respect it are the alphabet freaks. However this also means that the latter group will b***h and moan if they don't like canon, while the former will just silently continue their zero-fricks-given ways.

Famous actors must be recognizable, people come to see them. It's the same reason Christian Bale looks like Christain Bale and not a gaunt noseless twi'lek in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Bale was pretty unrecognizable in vice, maybe except his upper lip
but most of his scenes look like a completely different person

It varies from artist to artist. The one you posted is perhaps the worst he was every portrayed as, and it only appeared in that one issue. His design in the movie is accurate to how some of the artists used to draw him before.

Because Ryan Reynolds is a fricking homosexual that wants all projects to be about him and with him basically backseat directing

Duggan's run was great and did away with all of Way's garbage. The only issue it has was that Marvel's boner for NEW CROSSOVER COMIC EVEN NOTHING WILL NEVER BE THE SAME FOREVER was bigger than ever so it got abruptly interrupted to spent a few issues on it.
