That’s the best part, it’s peak corpo logic. >Venom is more successful than expected >”hmm what other Spider-Man villains can we make a movie about?”
That’s it. Nobody involved understood that there’s a huge difference between a literal who like Morbius and fucking VENOM, the one marvel villain every normie knows.
Well who can blame them, really? MCU turned a talking racoon and a talking tree into household names. They're just riding a trend. My point is you should blame the trendsetter.
Should you tho? They were just doing their own thing and everyone started copying them. It’s not their fault moron retarded audience liked it and threw load trucks of money at them, it’s not their fault their formula turned to be extremely successful.
I blame the masses, being under 120 IQ should be illegal.
>hmm what other Spider-Man villains can we make a movie about?
That's the weird thing, they've been trying to make a Morbius film since the fucking 90s. He was teased at in the original ending for Blade:
They didn't use it because of course nobody recognized him. I know the character and have the video title telling it to me and I still don't fucking recognize him.
I would have rather seen the supposed Kraven movie rather than Morbius, at least it would be different. Morbius basically is very similar to Venom anyway, plus there's a Blade movie coming which has REAL vampires, not pseudo-vampires
They have no concept of memes. They have no idea how anything works. Hollywood is running on autopilot and no one knows how anything works or why. This is why AI will change nothing. Algos are already making movies.
>it's extremely memeable which is great marketing
Sony re-releasing this pile of shit off the back of its memes and it bombing again is irrefutable proof that this is bullshit. I will make fun of your bad movie online. I will not pay you to see it.
Going in, I thought it was just going to be your bog-standard, formulaic capeshit. The trailers certainly gave that impression, so imagine my surprise when after the condensed origin story in the first 15 minutes, it totally stepped away from Morbius and became something more like a series of vignettes where random New Yorkers would just be going about their days only for Leto to show up, scream “IT’S MORBIN’ TIME!” go balls deep with some ace one-liners, and then just morb the fuck out of somebody. The best part was you never knew who it would be - the focus character or some random person in their presence. I liked watching them struggle to live some semblance of a normal life after having borne witness to such brutal morbings.
I was on the edge of my seat, trying to guess who was going to get morbed next. And in what way. Absolute kino.
The first 3/4th of the movie isn't horrible. It's not good but it's still watchable. Probably a 6/10. Then the last 1/4th is awful and is a 1/10. Drops the overall rating to a 3/10.
The problem with this scene is that you can tell that everyone involved thought it was cool and good. Only after people started making fun of it did they try to play it off. "Yeah we were just trying to be stupid". LMAO ok.
It is genuinely hilarious that people made a meme based on how unremarkable the unexciting the movie is, the studios totally misread the room and re-release it thinking it's grown an ironic fan following, and then it bombed again. They truly pooped their pants their pants.
I POOP MY PANT MY PANT
POOP MY TENT MY TENT
What did he mean by that? You don't just talk about pooping your pants like it's badass
He’s trying to explain how unpredictable he becomes when he’s OFF DA MEDS

They thought the whole movie was good idea. speaks volumes.
That’s the best part, it’s peak corpo logic.

I’m not blaming anybody for anything I just think it’s funny when executives make stupid decisions tbh
Should you tho? They were just doing their own thing and everyone started copying them. It’s not their fault moron retarded audience liked it and threw load trucks of money at them, it’s not their fault their formula turned to be extremely successful.

I love the part where he says “it’s morbin time” and then the studio released the movie in theaters again

You mean the upcoming Kraven movie where Kraven is a vegan member of peta who only hunts poachers?
>corpo
Stop saying chud words from genreshit
The Sony email leaks prove Hollywood executives live in a completely different reality that just happens to overlap into ours in southern California
why hire matt smith and not have him do ridiculous shit?
Still love the fact that people memed that him saying “it’s morbin time” was in the movie.
Me too. Great shit.
loved the twitch stream where the guy running it whispered "it's morbin time" before the first action scene
It was the most entertaining scene in the movie
Have fucking sex
It was a good idea, it's extremely memeable which is great marketing. It just wasn't enough to save the movie
Do you really think a bunch of 70 year old gnomish producers watched this movie and thought about its meme potential?
You have no idea how movies are made
They're made with market research and spreadsheets. You have no idea how movies are made. No one does anymore.
That’s my point, the spreadsheets told them it was memeable
They have no concept of memes. They have no idea how anything works. Hollywood is running on autopilot and no one knows how anything works or why. This is why AI will change nothing. Algos are already making movies.

HAVE SEX
It is literally the only good and memorable scene though.
HAVE SEX
That scene was the only good idea.
It made me see Morbius.
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie.

More morb memes please?
have sex, pepe
The only time I’ve watched this film it was a fucked up meme version from beginning to end. I will never watch the original.
Watched this clip and did the dance before a date. Had sex, excelled.
