How the frick does anyone produce an animation in 2022 that looks a thousand times shittier than a 2005 flash animation and greenlights it?
        Loveletter to 80s Anime?
Watch Bubblegum Crisis and be amazed how much better hand drawn animation 40 years ago looked like. There is not even the smallest base for comparison to Cyberpunk Edgerunners.

        >babbies first Trigger show
        Watch Ninja Slayer.
        But for me its Luluco.

Stopped watching Anime in 2011, never regretted it. The same way with Hollywood, Japan only produced shit since then.

also while a lot of the drawings are good, I greatly dislike when the animators choose to linger. this is especially evident during the scene where blue haired homie girl rides the crash cart.
the timing of the frames is awful. instead of selling the impact and weight it robs it of it. Really weird choices.

Also that scene was immensely cringeworthy. Both characters and their relationship are devoid of any kind of depth. Theres something very surface level and inauthentic about every interaction between them.

Tiktok brainmelt trash. I don't think there was a single scene longer than 5 minutes in the entire series.

I watched enough clips to know that this atrocious animation from the clip I posted is not an isolated case. The entire show looks like that.

Edgerunners objectively looks better than Bubblegum Crisis, though Crisis is the better show. I've watched both.

            Nice bait

            >You don't understand, they did the shitty animation on purpose!

I’m ashamed to say that I enjoyed it
The score is very good and the so was the plot
Yes the Hispanic MC and the honeypot were irritating and he should have killed her after that first betrayal.
But the show is well done.
In the end it’s not some marvel nonsense about saving the world. Just another tale of how cheap life is in night city.
They did a good job of not making the mc into some boy-who-is-the-key-to-everything Mary Sue and the ending was very good as well.

It's alright but I couldn't stand Lucy or David. David's story felt generic and the "sadness" we're supposed to feel for Lucy seems forced. David's just another shonen protag who has no hopes or dreams (which is covered in the show) and just wants to make Lucy happy, which felt stupid
I was more interested in the side characters. Rebecca had goofy moments but ended up being the most grounded and helpful person for David.
Music was probably the best part but I could go without hearing "I really wanna stay at your house" for the rest of my life
There are better team cyberpunk-genre anime out there, like Bubblegum Crisis

Could you be anymore of a contrarian? A guy just wanting to make a girl happy is refreshing in today’s climate where every character has to be some epic subversion of a trope. The fact that he ended up being the honest hearted ”pure maiden” that the main character (Lucy) developed romantic feelings for because of said pureness was brilliant.
