I forgot this shit happens in Disneyverse. Do you morons really expect Disney to give a frick about continuity? Didn't the latest show contradict ANH?

Yeah the new show is kinda a mess. I'd assumed that was what op was cheekily referring to.

Rey was DEAD at the end of TRoS and Kylo brought her back. Finished what his grandfather started.

Maul is has surgical precision with his lightsaber. Burned a hole through all four ventricles and severed his spine in one stab. Force-heal seems to deplete the user of as much life as they are fixing in the recipient. Obi-Wan would have died doing it. Rey healed a flesh wound on a snake, and a survivable gut wound on Kylo. Grogu took 60 years off his own life healing Greef's fatal poisoning. Rey was already dead, so Ben died bringing her back. Sheev sucked Padme's remaining life to safe Vader from what should have been fatal burns.

Force powers become so over the top in EU stuff that I wonder why Jedi even use lightsabers past maybe Knight level. Even the blaster deflection stuff is supplemented by force absorption.

Because the more you use the Force for big things, the less you can use it for subtle things, like foresight. Luke finds this out when he stops using the Force in big showy displays of power, and then suddenly finds that his foresight, precognition, senses, and visions are sharpening to impossible degrees.

Canon explanation is that over use of the force exhausts the user which is why they don't do that shit all the time. The reason Maul got the one up on Qui Gon was because Qui Gon went all out using his stamina and got tired and made that one fatal mistake

Why didnt he disappear into thin air like obi wan

I think they actually did address this. Quigon hadn't fully completed the trials that that allow you to become one with the force so canonically he could not manifest a force ghost and I guess that's why his death was normal old get stabbed and cremated

I like how literally everyone becomes a force ghost later on. Makes qui gon look even shittier.

Why didn't Obi-Wan force speed down the hallway before the laser walls went back up

They even showed him using that in this film

Used his manna to superjump and had to recharge. That is essentially Lucas' explanation.

It's almost like if Star Wars has been poorly written borderline unwatchable garbage since the 90's and that 99% of the world building was done retroactively without any care for how it would affect the pre established lore and that the only reason the original trilogy got so popular was because they were just 3 very simple and enjoyable space adventure films and were never meant to start a massive franchise.

I really wish autists would stop trying to look for in universe explanations for shit that are obviously just errors on part prequels era George and later Disney.

The entirety of Star Wars lore is all just long winded bullshit excuses to justify all the shitty inconsistencies in the movies.
