/tv/eddit shills this boring piece of shit all the time. One of the worst "character studies" of all time. It's funny people praise this vapid crap and then criticize thoughtful character studies like The Irishman and Killers of the flower moon. Frick the tasteless twats here.

Character study? No one watches this as a character study. It's an absurdly massive production that can never be made again.

The main character is an aloof bookworm who wants to do what he thinks is right. It's not at all interesting as a character study. The intrigue comes entirely from the production.

Pretty much, Lawrence desert actually looks like a desert, and ironically how Arrakis should look too, with the blue blue sky and the rich deep sands. What does Dunc does instead? Slaps an instagram filter on every scene to hide the terrible CGI.

The movie really goes downhill after the assrape but it was probably the best depiction of turks in any media ever.

There's a third party account that's the source of the presumed rape in the Turkish prison.
It's probably the most faithful thing the film does, because that account infers he was raped from how much more of a blase killer Lawrence was afterwards. That's exactly what film Lawrence goes through.

          >There's a third party account that's the source of the presumed rape in the Turkish prison.
Never heard of the third party account. I thought all third party accounts casted doubt on the story, since Lawrence makes it pretty clear himself that's what happened to him, he's the only one that implied it.

If anything it went light on how fricking gay Lawrence was in reality. The man was so fricking gay it was actually grotesque.

T.E Lawrence vastly exagerrated his role in Arab revolts. General Allenby was the main man there. You two are dimwitted cucks for falling for this delusional homosexuals' lies .

They left out the gay stuff. He was gay and used to have naked wrestling matches with other soldiers that I assume led to gay sex. They implied some gayness when he willingly went back to the Turks so that he could get butt raped.
