It was enjoyable, but at the end of the day it was very predictable. Liked the style, liked the Cruise, appreciate he wants to do theseuncommon ideas from time to time.
The resistance part sucked balls though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part of this. A lot of scenes were like Cruise checking off a bucket list of stunts/effects he wanted to do, or it felt like that at least

Is this fricking game worth playing. Seems comfy, but you can simply solve the balance problem by holding both triggers the whole time and all you are left with is going from A to B.

You will go slow as hell and still probably fall off a rock if its steep enough. Its a comfy game if you know what you are getting, and typically its not just point A to B, but A to C to B to D back to A (feeling a sense of accplishment by how much easier it is to get back to A after you connected the section to the chiral network and can use other people's structures).

No you dingus. They’re both filmed in Iceland. Or in this case, the environment in death stranding is based on Icelandis landscapes. That’s all.

The narrative is generic but the performances are strong and the visual composition/design is far better than the usual standard for Hollywood.

I'd say the plot felt a little weak, it felt like it had promise but failed to execute on a couple points.
How did cruise's character not run into the resistance before?
Why did he not ask about why the drones needed to be armed with weapons if they seemed to be primarily for scouting? There didn't seem to be much else in the wild.
Why did the red headed chick have to be so antagonistic throughout the plot? She could have asked her "husband" what's really going on at some point and to ask him to trust in her, possibly running interference for him if need be

Cruise getting bullied by his waifu was part of the evil scheme. She kept him on task and they were an effective team.

      >How did cruise's character not run into the resistance before?
      >Why did he not ask about why the drones needed to be armed with weapons if they seemed to be primarily for scouting?

The answer to both is in the intro; the story he's been sold is that the resistance are the surviving aliens. The drones have weapons so they can engage while reducing the risk to the human operators.

The real question is why the aliens would need human clones to do this job in the first place when they could do the same with drones alone, but if that were the case there wouldn't be a film.

      >not run into the Resistance
because the Resistance kills him every single time. They make an exception for the main Tom Cruise because he's the first clone to think for himself.

I don't like how he cucked himself at the end. I get that they wanted him to "get the girl" at the end, but it's a clone, it's not really him. Imagine the movie from the clone's perspective.
    >just doing my job, doo-dee-doo doo-dee-doo
    >holy shit, is that... me?
    >get into a fight
    >holy shit, is that... the girl from my dreams?
    >get your ass knocked out like an Asian lady in the Bronx
    >wake up with a broken nose
    >look up at the sky and see a massive explosion in space
    >drones start dropping out of the sky
    >start wandering around and find a cabin in the woods in an area that should be irradiated
    >see dream girl again
    >she says "You did it!"
    >:D
    >what?

The best parts were the visuals, action scenes and the ending. But parts of the story felt too derivative of other movies, it's like a better version of Moon but it's also like Vanilla Sky. I would have enjoyed it more if there was a bit more depth to the characters.
