Why do millennial fucks keep trying to act like all the 2000s Disney movies were underrated hits? They were mostly mediocre save for a very few exceptions and most deserved to flop. Even then why push for them to be remade into shitty live actions that will very likely be received poorly?

They'll make Kida the main protagonist but have her be played by some 5/10 looking actress you've never heard of before and she will be redesigned to look and dress more dull to avoid her being sexualized and all the other characters like Mole and Vinny will be reduced even more to gags.

The idea is more make films based on the ones no one gives a shit about like Atlantis and wouldn’t care seeing so when they change it there isn’t outrage, and that can revive the IPs more then hurt them

You should be asking why retards want more shitty live-action remakes.
    >CBR

He's literally saying they should be remaking movies that were mediocre

He is using the same old arguement of "They are only bad because they flopped financially. . BUT THEY ARE ACTUALLY GOOD MOVIES!!". I'm arguing that they are not good movies and deserved to flop. .

They're bad but if it's broken they can try to fix it
There's nothing broken about the movies they're making live actions of, they're just ruining masterpieces

Treasure Planet is hampered by too many comedic characters.

      >too many comedic characters or characters that just exist to move the plot along
      >the other cooler characters like Captain Amelia literally do nothing most of the movie
They could cut most of the cast out and leave just Jim and Silver and it would have changed very little.

Well 90% of the character designs and character animations were great, but the movies had bad plots with shit pacing. Disney millennials wish their favorite OCs were in good movies, they wish their headcanons and fan fictions were real.

i have noticed this trend for a while now, there can´t be shitty or mediocre movies now, eventually everything will be considered an underrated gem

Atlantis and treasure planet are really good films and would translate well to the big screen

Atlantis WOULD have been translated well onto the big screen if James Cameron didn't make his blue cat people movie, now everyone espeacially younger people are just gonna say it's an Avatar ripoff

Atlantis and Treasure Planet were decent films but I think it's too high IQ for most audiences, plus Disney would fuck up the reboot in so many ways it's not like anyone here WANTS to see it reach that fate

Of their 00s films I think the most successful reboot potential would be Brother Bear since it stayed in relative obscurity and I could see them doing a live-action Jungle Book kind of treatment, give some fresh light to a movie that isn't remembered all that fondly to begin with

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a Chicken Little reboot just to see how insane it would turn out, I think by now they've realized that bad publicity is better than no publicity so they really have nothing to lose here.

Also on a side note it's funny how badly Meet the Robinsons ended up aging, it's an alright film but it happened to coincide with the eventual downfall of Disney, none of their original IPs since that point have garnered much success aside from Frozen and maybe Tangled
