Ah, so the reason why there weren't any cool easter egg characters doing cool shit during the fight scenes was becuase they didn't want to pay for new rigs.
I would have liked it if they ACTUALLY USED HAND DRAWN CHARACTERS...fricks sake flash looks more lively and involving then this show at times.
NO ONE GIVES A FRICK ABOUT MORPH
That gay becoming a random hand picked guest star and shilling vehicles means frick and all.
I want to see the morlocks fighting off a sentinel in the background.
I want to see the OG X-Factor team with a few replacements fighting prime sentinals.
Boomboom and canonball fighting against a group of armed prime sentinal soldiers and narrowly escaping.
Not Morp turn into whatever kevin feige told them to prostitute that week.
Calm down ya frickin weirdo
It just logically goes against the point that they didn't throw in guest characters because of the expense of rigging something new. I don't need to hear your butthurt screeching about something I also disliked that isn't relevant to the point being made
>CGI moves like this
Digital Circus is more fluid than 97 and every other show from a major company nowadays
Although to be fair It's Kevin Feige who is a big budget cgi industry veteran working his brains out of passion, if he demanded to be paid as he was at his animations in Sony, Blue Sky etc movies it would more than double the budget
Depends on how you define "CGI". Because a lot of the show is definitely puppety rig animation. Which is still CGI in my book. I think the show looks good in most areas, but a lot of the scenes where there's no action and just characters talking... yeah, it's extremely noticeable and looks very, very bad.
Of course, but I'm also aware we use language to differentiate things in a way that goes beyond its purely literal meaning to facilitate clearer communication. At least, those of us without debilitating autism do
It is indeed computer generated imagery. But it is accepted convention for CGI to refer to 3D models and it only causes confusion when communicating to go against this convention. We all know 2D can be created on a computer. We all also know what everyone else means when they say CGI. So we establish a social convention to ease communication with all except the most stubborn pedants
Because it's doing the budget thing of lower animation when characters aren't big scenes, anime done it for decades, Superman even does it and lot of other cartoons even old ones like Batman TAS or hell the original show as janky as it was or X-Men Evolution just look at this: https://youtu.be/lO43_-EW6ns?feature=shared&t=225 look at bump in quality when she flips out which this show was animated by Madhouse.
Can anyone explain how the frick Magneto not only survived having it's lungs fricked up by wolverine but was still fine and fighting several minutes after that?
I think just been so long since we had comic book style 2D show with detailed character designs that have depth that people confuse it for CGI due to them being more rounded.
Bull, normies lapped up Invincible which was only marginally worse
It's because people are still used to hand-drawn inbetweening and when it's mathematically fluid because it's rigs changing position, people associate that with cg
Invincible character designs lot more flat, X-Men 97 designs are very rounded and animation not rigs, that studio does digipaint and cgi anon, if it was rigs Disney do it in house not outsource.
I say looks better than Invincible it might be third best animated X-Men thing, first being Evolution, second being Pyrde of X-Men and Forth being X-Men anime, Wolverine and X-Men is fifth and X-Men 92 is last, which I'm going be animation not ARTSTYLE there's difference Cinemaphile forgets that.
CGi was very clearly heavily used in this production no matter what claims they want to make of 2D animation. I'm sure it's lots of 2D yeah well rotoscoping is all 2D animation too.
A good chunk of the show is clearly 2D.

https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/256650
you can see the flatness a bit you won't see if it was CGI.
It doing the thing that start with like Invader Zim, good chunk of most mechanical things are CGI.

Yeah, but even though I do believe the majority of this is ugly Korean 2D the 99% 2D claim is total bullshit

No one saying 99% but it's enough it's a 2D show.
Anon if you can't see the obvious CG at play here you're just blind
Hand-shading covers up a lot of the obvious flaws of 3D but it's still very obvious.
It's still a 2D show, it's not like fricking What If.

>It's a 2D show!
It's a hybrid show that is mostly 3D assets with the 2D work being shading

I think more the other way around like Invader Zim, mostly 2D maybe like 70% and some CGI
The animation supervisor said 99%

I mean he did work on it.

He'll probably just say "having 3D elements all over the place is part of traditional animation now."
Like idk wildebeest in The Lion King

To be fair it is but I think reason they're act like it's pure 2D is they know people spreg over CGI for some moronic reason even if it looks fine.

So what I'm hearing is that they paid extra for an accomplished studio to output 2D animation people keep mistaking for cel shaded CG a la What If?
Great job doofuses
CGi was very clearly heavily used in this production no matter what claims they want to make of 2D animation. I'm sure it's lots of 2D yeah well rotoscoping is all 2D animation too.
Because we have eyes and depth perception you miserable wiener dribbling mule.

anon...

because that hell holes not a gigantic joke. That looks horrid, you frick mongrel.

I would have liked it if they ACTUALLY USED HAND DRAWN CHARACTERS...fricks sake flash looks more lively and involving then this show at times.
That was basically all Morph did the entire show, though, other than get hard for Logan

It is hand drawn lmao...it's just digitally down, they don't use rigs it's legit standard TV Korean animation model.
>CGI moves like this

lel, Kevin TEMMER
Those clips clearly aren't CGI you have be idiot to think so, you can tell it's digipaint.
yeah i know i'm actually just defending cgi
People aren't blind, and this isn't new technology by any means.
lmao is this the new shills arguments they want to sell to the public?
It's 2D though, OP right like actual production art.
Its wokeshit
Dude..it's X-Men.
One side doesn't own the concept of "oppressed different person"
Stop it. Your psyop has no problem here.

not only that but it use cgi objects in every episode, although the style can hide it very well
So, like, Bluey is a CGI cartoon?
Toon boom
Yes? Toon Boom puppet rigs
Literally yes.
Do you know what CGI stands for?
Of course, but I'm also aware we use language to differentiate things in a way that goes beyond its purely literal meaning to facilitate clearer communication. At least, those of us without debilitating autism do
I don't know why you think 2D can't be CG.

It's not even puppet rig animation, it's standard 2D Korean animated show it's same damn studio doing Superman.
Why does character movement look totally different? Specially in non-action scenes.
Since that's a 97 thread
Can anyone explain how the frick Magneto not only survived having it's lungs fricked up by wolverine but was still fine and fighting several minutes after that?
Isn't it mostly cel shaded 3D?
If it's not they did some crazy shit to make it look like it was and yet like they were trying to hide it
Even if it were 3D you view it through a 2D medium essentially making it 2D again.
Is this bait or what? I guess we have no way to differentiate between 2D and 3D video games either eh
It’s what a thirteen year old believes is a profound observation.
correct
Restricted, rigged animation gives the impression of staples of 3D animation.
Another Cinemaphile doesn't understand animation production thread.

Why does this look just as cheap and bad as Invincible tho?

>Wolverine and X-Men
Such an ugly looking show.
I hate it's style.
lol who the frick are you trying to fool
Hand-shading 3D models ArcSys style does not count as 2D art
>Creator proof
>Animation proof
>Studio proof
>Production proof
You don't have to like the show but how stupid are some of these anons?
I do like the show
It's obviously 3D models with custom shading
lmfao.
A good chunk of the show is clearly 2D.

2nd one is very clear 2D
But if anyone tries to claim that sentinel head flying into the distance in the first one isn't a 3D element they're a liar
It doing the thing that start with like Invader Zim, good chunk of most mechanical things are CGI.

That's just 3DCG with extra steps
At the end of the day no matter what your take, it still better animated than 90's show (low standard I know) lmfao.
