And a good thing too.
Pre-Boomers threw eyelashes and a dress on Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and said…look they’re Minnie and Daisy now.
At least Gen Xers and so on, knew making female looks required more substance.
The boys started as hand puppets in the 1950s shows. They didn’t have anything below their shirts originally.
So this carried on into the 1960s cartoon. And became the standard.
The girls were created in the based 80s, and didn’t have to follow boomer rules anymore.

I didn't know that. >So this carried on into the 1960s cartoon. And became the standard.
Well, they could have always designed them proper attire.
There have been many incarnations of the "Chipmunks" over the years. The first group was created by Dave Seville in 1958 and featured actual singing chipmunks. However, chipmunks only live for about three years so this necessitated a regular rotation of singing chipmunks which involved a lot of singing and performing training. However, a close scientific associate Clyde Crashcup discovered a process to clone chipmunks ensuring the best characteristics were carried over to new generations. Of course, the cloning process was not perfect and each version was like a copy of a copy. After Dave Seville's death in the early 70s it was his son, Dave Seville Jr., who revived the group in the late 70s with a brand new batch of cloned chipmunks, including female versions.
How much alcohol would they have to consume to get drunk? Given how small they are I can't imagine it being more than half a bottle.
Because boys hail from an older version of their property, while the girls are a later edition, and little care was put into unifying the designs.
Oh please, it's probably just to make them look more like girls. This isn't the only such example of this design decision.
And a good thing too.

Girls always have more hair than boys
Why is one girl Irma from TMNT?
Same character designer?
Why do the girls have proper clothes while the boys wear weird gowns?

because they're just humans with weird noses
Sexy.
For me it's CGI Brittany.
Why do you double down on the CGI show? Everyone already made known how they feel about the character designs.
Because he's a real pedo and likes the CGI cause its even more in line with kiddie shapes
I find the 80s munks more attractive, I don't get it...
The Chippettes are like black women in that they wear the hair that was ripped from the scalps of Asian women and then dyed.
