Why do you act like they have "no time" to watch anything they aren't familiar with?

>wastes his time posting on Cinemaphile about feet, girls, butts, capeshit, and other banal shit
>every time a new movie is introduced to him, he asks pic related as if he is a busy man with time for everything except actually watching movies
Why does Cinemaphile think their time is better spent shitposting here instead of actually watching movies?
I swear Cinemaphile doesn't watch movies unless they are mainstream and popular while everything else they stay away from.
Why can't Cinemaphile just watch movies on their own and decide if they like it or not?
Why can't Cinemaphile think for itself?
What do people think they are wasting by watching a new movie that hasn't been approved for them in advance?
You people spend so much time here but you can't watch anything that hasn't been discussed to death here? Why?

I told him to watch The Loved Ones [2009] which Cinemaphile seems to enjoy.
      He literally said to me...

I don't think something needs to be good in order for it to not waste my time, it just needs to be interesting.
Last April, I decided to watch a handful of movies that were taking up space in my collection because I assumed they might be dogshit, and only one of them was a complete waste of my time.
    >National Lampoon's Blackball
starts out interesting, but quickly turns into the exact sort of "sports underdog gives into hubris but turns it around in the end" schlock it was trying to make fun of. Not as good as the other Lampoon movies from that era, aside from that first 20 minutes.
    >The Scorpion King
Just a complete mess of a vanity project for Dwayne The Rock Johnson to pretend his cameo in The Mummy 2 actually mattered. So incredibly cliched as to be nauseating.
    >Bowfinger
Really great comedic deconstruction of the studio system. Might be Eddie Murphy's last great movie, need to watch more to be certain.
    >Grandma's Boy
Might be my new favorite Happy Gilmore movie, I liked it more than Little Nicky & Joe Dirt.

I'm not one of the people who does that, sorry that wasn't clear. Honestly, I never really make threads on here since I never know how to get genuine engagement. It seems the easiest way for a post to get responses is to encourage inflammatory rage in others and wait for the discussion to simmer down to a normal level; if a person tries to start a thread by saying "I just watched [X], can we discuss it?" it leads to dozens of buttholes chiming in to say "why the frick would anyone wanna talk about that garbage" or its variations, leading to the thread dropping off the catalogue.

have you seen vampire in brooklyn?

          Uh huh.

nothing in this world is concretely black & white. what is acceptable today was a pearl-clutcher yesterday and will be hate-speech tomorrow. entertainment has been diluted by degrees ever since the 70s ended. First violence, then sex, then comedy, and now good writing is on the chopping block. In a couple decades, movies will be in black and white again so as to not be insensitive to the colorblind, and then a decade after that they'll get rid of sound to not offend the blind.
Or, y'know, it could just be that corporate entities want to profit off their entire library, so they put these superficial messages in front of their older media so that modern crowd doesn't try to sue them for mental damages. You are aware that these messages don't show up on older releases of the same film, nor do they show up on pirated copies, right? It's not woke killing cinema, it's capitalism.

Cinemaphile is busy hanging out with friends, working hard on jobs, side jobs, entrepreneurial business ventures, multiple hobbies, getting fit, hiking, planning and taking vacations, doing charity work, and having vas amounts of casual sex, it's all very time-consuming so we just don't have time to watch a movie unless it's good.

Because there are so many movies and only 1% is passable. Have no time to watch hundreds of woke pieces of shit to find a passable one.

    It's simple.
I want to watch a good story.
Not some gay play with colors, lights, and ratios.

I'm also looking to avoid cut to black gunshot horseshit.
    >"Le it's up to YOU to decide what happened! Tehe!"
No, that makes you a bad writer. If you can't make it interesting, your story blows. Frick off.

The point is so you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time. If you have a crowd you can usually defer to others experience and it's useful. It's like the second main function of having speech
