Yes. For some reason when a movie has Chris Pratt or Jenifer Lawrence critics shit, now imagine if the movie has both of them and imagine if on top of this the movie is a straight scifi without the stuff that normalfags expect to pretend they luv science and scifi. No wonder it's underrated. Passengers is kino and Avalon is one of the kinoest ships ever.
should've been literally just chris pratt waking up and freaking out the first 10%, then fucking around 20%, then beginning to lose his mind the next 20%, then experiencing a complete metamorphosis in in the loneliness for 30%, then realizing the ship is fucked, learning how to fix things, then saving everyone for the remainder 20%, with him silently sacrificing himself alone. movie ends with everyone waking up and realizing what he had done. would have been all-time kino
That would me Moon
I always thought that this movie would have been more interesting if had the same exact story but Jlaw was the techie who woke up first and unfroze rich travel-y brochad CrispRat to avoid going crazy on her own.
if you actually woke up more women do you think they'd want to fuck you or do you think they'd turn into lesbians? maybe the best idea to me would be killing one once you're done with them then unfreeze another
>man thaws himself out a wife >wife finds out she was thawed out to be a wife >doesn't just grug smash her and use her as a breeding chamber
I laughed my ass off at the ending where they spent decades just sitting around doing dumb shit instead of actually trying to ensure they'd survive in some form. Personally, I'd wake up women one at a time, tie them up, and use them all as rape slaves after removing their teeth so they can't bite their tongues off and bleed to death. Raising all the kids would be a hassle, though.
why wake up a roastie near the end of her fertility? i would have woken up a 10 year old and groomed her into my perfect wife, then eventually defrosted partners for our children, etc.
>simply force
Because he wants companionship and you can’t just force that.
Anyway while watching this I was thinking would be a decent plot for a horror changing somethings of course
The robot would be in on it I don’t think I would make it so humanoid ether
>wake up JLaw >she tells you right away that she identifies as they/them and they are a lesbian on top of that >demands you wake up a black dude next because it's not diverse enough
immediately toss it out of an airlock while wondering to myself "wtf is a "black dude" and "diversity" given that we're in the intergalactic age and these things haven't existed to hold humanity back for hundreds of years at that point.
They should have had a child together and put her in the MedDock and she wakes up with the other passengers, could have even set up a sequel that way. Andy Garcia is the Captain and doesn’t even have any lines heh
it's not a sci-fi movie, it's a love story in space
the movie isn't bad, it just left a sour taste because it could've been much better because the premise is very interesting
>it just left a sour taste because it could've been much better because the premise is very interesting
this has happened to me so much that i'm just dulled to the feeling. literally have no expectations going into movies any more
Can't he just thaw the lower part of her?
Why does Chris, the largest passenger, not simply eat the other passengers?
This movie is pure fantasy, I love it

Yeah I thought it was pretty good
The man saves the woman by holding a door open.
This movie is good just for that alone.
Wouldn't there be a tribe of their inbred descendants roaming the ship by the time everyone else defrosted?
it only took like 50-60 years or something for them to get there right? at least by the time pratt is awakened?
They defrost white women to impregnate.
This was an underrated movie

That essentially is what happens you prick.

No, it was not.
It was dogshit.
Wrong. Idiot.
samenig
How embarrasing. Go back.
Yes. It was mildly good. Had it come out a year earlier, it would have been a giant blockbuster. #metoo fucked it hard.
>not waking up more women
what a homosexual

Because he is not an incel chud.

If it was Emily Blunt instead of the raspy voiced, neck moles lady it would have been good.

force myself on her
They should have had a child together and put her in the MedDock and she wakes up with the other passengers, could have even set up a sequel that way. Andy Garcia is the Captain and doesn’t even have any lines heh
andy garcia wasn't actually paid for his performance, they just filmed him showing him around the set
How unfortunate that it was Chris Pratt imagine being woken up by Danny DeVito
This movie was so fucking bad. Why can't sci-fi be slow paced and atmospheric anymore?
Should have just woken up some of the ships engineering crew to fix his pod.
I havent watched it due to the RT score being so low. Is it actually a watchable film?
You'll either hate it or love it. I enjoyed it.

First 15 minutes are great, really cool ship design and soundtrack, but it falls off when JLaw wakes up. Overall I still liked it.
