They went with wanting to have a muslim character before wanting to have a good character and her only other noticeable trait is being a teen.

It would've been the same thing for the All New, All-Different X-men but Claremont actually expanded on the characters quite a bit.

América Chavez? MoM happened and nobody cared about her, they only one character of nuMarvel who is popular is Miles and he has 0 iconic comics, probably Feige would steal some Peter stories for him

The MCU is just re-doing what already happened in the comics. Marvel wants Kamala everywhere, but she's just not really that important to the overall narrative. It has nothing to do with wokeness or Muslims or whatever.

    See: The MCU

Kamala is just this rando kid fumbling around for 6 episodes. The next time you see her, they're trying to shoe-horn her into the world of SWORD and cosmic Marvel with Carol, Fury, Monica, etc. Like she simply doesn't fit but they need her to fit into bigger stories now or she'll just sit there gathering dust with Kate Bishop.

      >The MCU is just re-doing what already happened in the comics
no, they added a shitty Clandestine OC because everyone's gotta be COSMIC and EPIC after endgame
I wasn't a fan of Spider-Man's iron suit, but at least he wasn't dealing with aliens in his first movie.

Her style of character doesn't fit with what they want to push her into. They want her to be in the Avengers and run her Avenger like team, and help Carol with space. What origiinally got her over was silly small time shit. The MCU decided to strip that from her villains. It's crazy how they made certain force her into the MCU as quickly as possibly removed nearly everything about her comic version. Why adapt character if you don't give a frick about any of things from the comic.

    Kamala is a good girl

She isn't all that interesting which why everyone keeps leaning on the fan shit and making her cute. Kamala was carried but Alphona's silliness and her early run being very cartoony. They even had the later artist try to copy his Background gags. Wilson ran out of ideas halfway through the second run. Even before then she spent more time developing Bruno, Zoe, and Aamir. Her only non gag villains were not utilized well. Kamran, Kaboom and lineage were good but had to be put in timeout with the rest of the Inhumans. Becky wasn't bad but for some reason Wilson and Ahmed decided to make her a mook for Hydra and later uncle Bret so barely even talked.

tldr: Kamala and corner of the universe never really got developed before Marvel decided to put the rocket on her back and they refuse to back down.

Wilson talked and talked about how she wanted Kamala to be a shapeshifter for multiple thematic reasons, but did away with almost all her powers in less than a year because "it didn't fit her". Dumb b***h didn't even try to say that Kamala simply doesn't use the fancier powers out of preference, she just straight-up took them away.

        >Dumb b***h didn't even try to say that Kamala simply doesn't use the fancier powers out of preference, she just straight-up took them away.
I don't think this is true. She still uses the more extreme/creative versions of her polymorph powers on occasion, I don't think anything has been properly taken off the table. If anything they've expanded her powers since the beginning, because Willow quickly relaxed the degree to which she could embiggen. Originally she had fairly conservative size limits, but eventually they just let her grow to building size and beyond.

I'm pretty sure the one version of her power which they didn't want to use more is the one shown in your pic related - the ability to mimic other people's appearances. And even that ability has been used once or twice since that issue. Current Kamala can probably still do it, but IIRC the justification is that she thinks it's kinda shitty to do the "stealing other people's identity" thing. Kamala has never been a "stealth" character, she's the type to embiggen and smash into a building, not mimic a guard's identity and sneak in.

Otherwise, there is just the rapid healing and energy drain stuff, most of which doesn't get a mention any more. But these aren't really significant "powers"/"limitations" for most of her stuff, and so it isn't much of a problem. The former explains why she shrugs off getting beaten up every other day, the latter just lets her fill her face whenever she wants.

It's honestly amazing how Kamala can be shilled so hard to comics, cartoons, games, and now the MCU, and yet never get the hate America, Miles, Sam, Carol, Riri, or the Inhumans got for their pushes. It's not like she has proven herself more successful. Her comics bombed, her show has the lowest viewership of any MCU so far. Yet I have never seen her get hate beyond people who would complain at any character that falls under woke/diversity.

      >It's honestly amazing how Kamala can be shilled so hard to cartoons, games,

Appealing a few times in a Spider-Man cartoon and joining the Avengers team in its last season alongside other not so big name Heroes also having some focus in one video game is not ever being shilled so hard by Major Comic Book Company standards.

It's funny because you seem to be deliberately ignoring it's been going down after each new so since the beginning so it's its position do agus so get is making it hard the results instead of the show itself.

Kamala needs a nemesis, I suggest a rugged blond mercenary called The White Cobra, the white cobra would use his sinister charm to penetrate Kamala's defenses, really hit her where she'd feel it if you know what I mean, that's the kind of villain that would make Kamala popular

Because is a nobody that they try to force as a somebody, either do the hard work and build a character up, or stick to the ones you have, you cant just introduce someone new and demand the readers to love with next to nothing going for the character. Its sad how much work they do, just to fail cause no one over there has a brain.

because they don't know how to write a secular muslim since islam is a perfect example of why abrahamic religions as a whole are absolute shit for various reasons

there's a panel some anon posted in an OP that had an older character use the phrase "patriarchal capitalist" in a sentence so the comic seems woke but the older character was a woman wearing a hijab.

apparently dumbasses don't realize that sexist cultures are cultures that put women in a lower economic class, so any woman that wears a hijab is going to have a hard time looking like someone to take seriously if they're going to criticize patriarchy, let alone capitalism

like there's a muslim feminist irshad manji who thinks that islam could be compatible with feminism, but i don't see any wahabists in saudi arabia taking her seriously. i don't see the united states having any issue with the bullshit left behind in afghanistan

    Several reasons really
Her whole appeal is being a cute girl with a heart of gold, but an awkward dork. But Disney can't write female characters that are actually likeable anymore, they see a political machine first and character second. She's not a ''muslim hero'', she's a cute girl
And she's supposed to be a down-to-earth kind of hero, like Peter Parker. But Disney has also lost all ability to write smaller scale stories. Even Peter has tech up his ass and is constantly working with the Avengers now. His appeal, like Kamala's, is lost because of this new tech team-up bullshit

even if she's not a muslim, she interacts with other muslim characters and she does not wear a hijab.

      she's generic
