He needs to picture himself in there. If he could just teleport everywhere then he wouldn't need to travel on foot again.

I can picture myself on the sun fairly well. It’d be pretty hot

no he can't, sure he can look up and burn his retinas like a moron, but he cant see the surface of the sun itself only the light emmited from it.
That being said he can teleport to places he can't see, but I think he needs to be able to picture it and he really isn't very imaginative

      Well, like ,
but it's clearly not exactly that. He apparently has a greater than 2 mile radius. 93 million miles seems like a stretch.

Not true, he couldn’t see Butcher when he teleported Mindstorm to him, they were both inside the barn at first.

When was that stated? lol. He was promising mind freak to take him wherever he wanted to go so hughie thinks he can teleport globally

If he could just travel anywhere he would be OP so there has to be a limit

Not true, he couldn’t see Butcher when he teleported Mindstorm to him, they were both inside the barn at first.

It was still close and he knew how the place looks like.
In short, his powers are limited by distance (probably like a mile or two) and he needs to already be familiar with the space he teleports to.

It's unlikely homelander can be killed by the sun to begin with. It's just nuclear explosions. It's implied he is superman-like so his weaknesses must be very limited.

Its clearly a threshold type thing. He's invulnerable up to a certain amount of force. After that he gets damaged and heals like a normal person as evidenced by the fact he got hurt by Soldier Boy and actually bruised like a normal person. No super healing.

        >It's just nuclear explosions.
It’s not “just” nuclear explosions it’s gravity so strong that it fuses atoms into heavier elements causing immense heat and radiation.

Homelander is invulnerable to most things but he’s still beholden to the laws of physics. The sun would absolutely kill him. And don’t tell me he can magically breath in space either.

          Anonymous

nothing is holding to the laws of physics in capeshit. for example there is no structural design physics that would make their bodies so strong. explain those basic failures to hold physics first and then claim they are supposedly true to the even more extraordinary claims they make in their stories.

Actually its far worse, 13 times denser than lead, 3.84 trillion psi of pressure, 27 million degrees (F), every second roughly 600 million tons of hydrogen is fused into helium.

In the first place Vought is completely certain Homelander will die to a nuke so nuclear explosions are more than enough.

It's implied "superman"-like characters can resist most shit that would kill humans. It doesn't make logical sense, but the anti-trope is that homelander is a narcissistic superman that can not be defeated easily.

Superman can get fricked up by a single nuclear bomb or the sun being a different color. He can just be straight beaten to death.

            Anonymous

At the end of the day it's irrelevant, it's plot armor because it's capeshit. They will never kill a character like that unless they set it up to be "glorious".

Just saying they bend the rules anyway. They imply he is superman-like, but that doesn't mean they'll let him die on weaknesses superman has if they don't want to kill him.

            Anonymous

Superman's survived a lot of nuclear bombs. He's survived flying through a red sun. Post-Crisis Superman was beaten to death, sure.

          Anonymous

No. Homelander in both the comic and show has like way, way less than a tenth of Superman's durability--even when Superman is low-tier like in Man of Steel.

  6. 2 years ago

He won't do that, but I bet he holds his breath and teleports Homelander or Soulja Boy into a room full of that Russian sleepy time nerve gas though...

  7. 2 years ago

Why doesn't he hold like a brick or something at head height and 3 feet in front of him
THEN teleport next to Homelander to be 3 feet behind him
The brick would be teleported inside Homelander's head, thus killing him.

don't overthink it, most capeshit has logical holes like that.

e.g. super-speed in Marvel capeshit is absolutely universe-breaking; a SINGLE superhero like that could rob all banks in the world in minutes; and they have several of them roaming around unchecked supposedly.

      Anonymous

Seems he can only teleport himself and other people, and not their clothes or other objects

True but he could just teleport Homeland into a wall instead.

That's actually the best explanation, the other responses were cuck outs.

Second scenario: Hughie grabs Soldier Boy and teleports his dick inside Homelander's ass, thereby forcing Soldier Boy to kill Homelander to prove he isn't a gay pedophile.

Homelander is much stronger than a brick. His head would squeeze it out.

in the comics, black noir was a clone of homelander meant to be a living failsafe in case homelander snapped and went evil, then noir went schizo and goaded homelander into being a psycho so he could have a reason to kill him.
supes arent totally invincible, and even homelander was somewhat vulnerable to depleted uranium rounds and armour piercing munitions
