why dont loads of brits don't get Partridge either?
I am a partridge completest, i think I have watched and heard and read all of his material countless times.
The new live show was shit though.
That’s just not true. But then Alan has always been entertaining in his disastrous yet absolutely human behavior. He’s a stain that I can’t help but enjoy and the experiment of his character in his sprawling narrative as an unrepentant c**t has a secondary repeat viewing/listening factor to it. I know Coogan is either a nonce or a fan of the nonce, but Alan Partridge is a lasting creation that will both hate and love in equal measure until it is finally revealed Coogan was in fact a nonce. Then I’ll probably just see a third angle to the whole thing and still appreciate it.
I get the feeling he's not acting that hard and it makes me hate him. Like if his worst enemy had to represent him in a movie hed just make more Alan partridge. He gives of Seinfeld energy to me. He's got a Canadian sort of vibe. Not full autist but smug and socially moronic and thinks he's better than you and he is but like not enough to justify his smugness. I find the man deeply unlikeable and will not look up anything more about him. Caught his movie on YouTube as background noise and it was average as frick.
Two things >"neither" means "not either," so you should say "Neither of those is funny," not "are."
Second, you're just plain wrong. Toast has plenty of laughs, and frankly you'd be daft to deny that.
If you don't like it, well that's a different thing, and fair enough. It's not for everyone.
fair enough.
Rob does seem like a colossal twat but I only know him from that film I posted a clip of and it made me chuckle when hung over years back. Coogan I couldnt give a frick about but yeah, used to listen to Alan Partidge in the dads car so...
Don't care for nonces. Cheeky shit from the BBC as well casting a nonce to play a nonce. But they will cast Black folk to play white people. Big think.
it's not that Americans don't get him.
It's just that he's not fricking funny. You limey fricks are lucky you have Rowan Atkinson and Jeremy Clarkson. You better pray they live forever or you might as well get bombed to hell
>went down to cambridge last week for a day out >it's filled with americans >go to a pub >stood waiting to order >american comes over and asks for one beer >sit down and hear his wife asking what the food was on the menu >it's just stuff like pies, steak and chips (typical pub food)
you guys are pretty funny

I voluntarily write an M on my forehead when i'm taking opiates
I keep posting that pic as a reaction image in Bond threads, and people think I'm agreeing with them.
America's strongest men was still a better movie than TSWLM
US remake starring Jared Leto. Could it work?
you homosexuals are worse than redditors sucking keanu reeves dick.
They don't appreciate ladyboys.
>FIGHT YOU!
>You mother!
They're not attracted to them, they just find them fascinating

A few Americans DO understand it
>reaction video
Oh, please.
>50 year old Black man listens to Bob Dylan for the first time somehow

You know Alan Partridge is a character and not a real person, right?
That's my point I feel like that character isn't too far removed from the actor
Idk I thought he was great in Hamlet 2
Of course he tried to make a sequel to Hamlet. Pretentious ass I could smell it on him
He had a vehicle
A lot of men with vehicles were content to drive to Hamlet 1. But not our mr partridge
Go and watch Coogans tribute to Caroline Aherne. He's an absolute smug c**t and always has been.
Middle aged low IQ American detected.
I'm American and I love Alan Partridge almost as much as I love Steven Toast.
neither of those are funny
seriously. toast doesn't have a single fricking laugh

Toast is shite and you're a wanker.
good shout
The duality of man.
No, the last guy is correct. Toast is the worst shit ever. It represented the point where British comedy became shameful reddit garbage.
is this funny or gringe?
I know its autistic as frick but I cant tell what im laughing at
I like Partridge but Coogan is a c**t as is Rob.
Coogan is a c**t, but Partridge was great.
fair enough.

Also liked him on on Brass Eye
the alan partridge tv show is a fundamentally british experience
what is there to understand?
that irredeemable butthole characters can be found funny
imagine the kino him and miriam margolyes would do on a graham norton episode
Because they drink Dr. Pepper. It tastes like fizzy Benolyn!
Based Tim Vine poster
90s to mid 00s British tv and comedy used to be so comfy. I miss it so much.
It was made by men your age. You're supposed to be making and critiquing things now.
I didn't get the jokes about being inbred or having bad teeth
Partridge yer wankah
>American Comedy = Man tells joke
>British Comedy = Man is joke

Is the last series worth checking out? I was a bit underwhelmed by Scissored Isle
Depends how much you like the character. If you ignore the typical British woke and inclusive shit, it's ok.
I liked him in that movie with jackie chan
>went down to cambridge last week for a day out
>it's filled with americans
>go to a pub
>stood waiting to order
>american comes over and asks for one beer
>sit down and hear his wife asking what the food was on the menu

all he had to say was "Sneed's, Formerly Chuck's" and they would have lapped it up like goyslop
More like "Chuck's Frick and Suck" and you would sneed it up like reddit feed.
Probably not enough quips
