Ideally you'd want to magdump on a guy with a firearm as a precaution to your own life. However, someone with a blunt or sharp weapon, I can't agree with it. Once they're on the ground, you can just kick the weapon away since most likely they'll drop it or be to hurt to actually do any damage unlike with a firearm where they can just shoot as long as they hand works.
