Why hasn't there been a good movie about the Columbine massacre yet.

Why hasn't there been a good movie about the Columbine massacre yet. There's so much shit to work with, a good director could make something great. Surely it's not "too soon" anymore?

There’s ready a great movie about columbine shooting, it’s called Elephant

It's based on it but it's not actually it. I want one that's actually about Dylan, Eric and the victims.

The seething replies are from edgelords homos who just want a gayass mass murderer movie about normies getting mowed down because you're bitter manchildren angry that you're losers.

If you actually have interest in the shooting from a psychological perspective watch Elephant. If you just want to see le heckin good normies get killed watch Rampage.

The shooters had really small parts in Elephant though. Van Sant spent most time on the other kids.

          Hence why it’s pure kino.
The shooters aren’t that interesting hence why nobody saw it coming, nothing is epic, the worst drama besides the shooting is the ugly girl’s experience

I think they don't make it because they don't want to show Eric and Dylan getting bullied, it would really piss people off to see society take some of the blame for what happened. Many of the people they shot were their own bullies right? Nobody wants to make a movie where the irl victims of Columbine are shown to deserve what happened to them to some extent. It would take a director with a lot of balls to do that. I'm sure somebody wants to make it but doesn't want the heat for it.

Joker was basically it. Le bullied incel fails to improve himself and instead becomes a terrorist, blaming the society for their own faults

It had nothing to do with them being bullied or incels. They were just some suicidal gun/military-obsessed psychos who wanted to watch the world burn.

They were popular dudes with girlfriends and they didn't shoot any of the supposed "bullies" that tormented them. The majority of their victims were meek younger kids that they themselves tormented, or minorities.

How come a lot of those high schoolers look 30? They look way older than high schoolers look now. So when they cast 30 year olds as high schoolers it used to make sense?

      Anonymous

Not only did Eric and Dylan have a circle of nerdy friends but they even hung out with girls (Dylan went to prom with a girl a few days before the shooting, the same girl who bought them 3 of their guns).
      >Many of the people they shot were their own bullies right?
Lmao no, none of the people they killed were their bullies and a few of them were even bullied themselves.

IMO Eric and Dylan were two dweebs who copied their entire aesthetic from movies and video games, but because law enforcement has withheld their cringe basement tapes they've been portrayed as these great masterminds instead of two edgelord losers who just wanted to lash out at the school.

        Anonymous

I thought in their basement tapes they kept talking about getting revenge to the people who bullied them. Said shit like "we're gonna pay you all back for what you've done." Not true?

I know that Eric was supposed to be a total psycho while Dylan was a depressed motherfricker. Had Dylan not met Eric things could have been different for him. Eric was the one in the driver's seat.

          Anonymous

They both were in the driver's seat, it's possible that the one who suggested the shooting was Dylan and not Eric

If they hadn't met each other and if they didn't go to Columbine they probably would've grown up relatively normal, Dylan had friends and people liked him, Eric had friends but once he moved to Colorado and went to Columbine his whole life went to shit

          Anonymous

That might have been their motive but they just targeted anyone they could. Their original plan was to bomb the school and kill as many as possible but their bombs were shit and didn't work.

Eric had anger issues but he did express a willingness to receive help over it. Dylan deceived his friends and family about his issues and he was the first one to write about going on a shooting spree in his journal, two years before it actually happened.

It’s because Hollywood can’t glorify school shooters like they do with other criminals. Both Dylan and Eric were weirdos

  8. 2 years ago

They don't want to encourage more morons who think a movie will be made about them if they shoot up a school

      Anonymous

Why not? They encourage everything else bad in the world. They encourage war for Israel, they encourage communism, they encourage you to cut your kid's dick off and plough him full of hormones so that some heterosexual man might find him attractive enough to frick some day... if he's very very lucky.

Getting bullied is a normal, healthy aspect of a functional society. If you can't stand your ground you don't deserve to procreate. There's nothing glorifying about walking into a school with a tec9 to shoot children and school workers. It wasn't society that failed them, they failed completely and entirely, as men and as human beings. The only person that would want to watch a movie about such failure and mistakenly romanticize it is nothing more than just the same kind of failure.

Yeah but I think a mini series would be a better fit, also it needs to be true to the real events and not some "weird incel kids were heckin evil" thing with a bunch of fictional shit thrown in there

The real thing was kino, all of it, there will never be another event like it, all the mass shootings and school shootings since then have been perpetrated by lonely homosexual incels doing everything on their own, there hasn't been another Eric and Dylan

    [...]

It was just because of how they acted during the shooting, Eric the psycho being quiet and more collected while Dylan the shy kid was screaming and acting like the ultimate edgelord having the time of his life, also their initial plan of blowing up the school failed hard, they were hoping to kill everyone at the cafeteria
Which leads me to believe that they at least told some of their personal friends to stay out of there, like Robyn, the girl who went to prom with Dylan a couple of days before the shooting and the one who bought the guns for them

When I was in high school the brother of one of the victims visited and gave a big presentation to the school. It culminating in him blaming the shooting on Hitler because of the date they chose, and likening his sister to another victim of Hitler. I thought it was weird even back then.

Because school shootings have become far more frequent, and knowing hollywood they would cast a couple of chads are Eric and Dylan, unintentionally glamorise the whole thing and it will lead to more school shootings.
