Guy loves AI because according to him it will take away the jobs of artists he doesn't like, but it will never replace him and the artists he likes no matter how much technology advances because one of his favorite Christian artists said so. Also, if you read his blog you'd know that AI is African spirit magic and he invented it.

Guy is one of those anons.

They were mean to me while I was trying to make friends in comics and cartoons, and then said nobody who wasn't their friend was allowed to work. It's deserved

Humans are currently the ones responsible for firing other humans to make way for AI.

They should have made art communities better places and been more creative. No point in caring about their work

AI is a guest player beside my own art
My comic needs it as humans are weak

If AI takes away my jobs it's fine because at least cruel humans weren't responsible, but only a logical machine

I'd still hire and artist to touch up the AI generated art if I ever did something like this. It's simple enough if you have a basic understanding of PS but I don't.

    >Author
    >Has ChatGPT do the writing
So what did he contribute? Did he just correct issues with the text? Then he is nothing more than an editor. Does he even get copyright protection if a large amount of the text was not conceived by him?

No he doesn't, some chick used ai to write and draw a comic and for whatever reason went to court to prove she could own the rights to it. The courts told her where she could stick her AI slop. Our laws specifically state works of art must be made by humans to be copyrightable, see that case where some tree huggers tried to get a photo's coprights handed over to a monkey because it was what hit the shutter button on the camera.

        Anonymous

Court said she owned the story and characters, not the imagery itself because it was basically a bunch of images of Zendaya made using MidJourney. So you could technically register a comic, but only the script would be protected by law.

Already doing it. It's as simple as it can be, it's porn because it doesn't require words and has all the AI problems and limitations, but I'm not just an ideas guy anymore. 2 panels are done, finishing the last panel and bouncing some ideas for the final "full page" shot.

The real strategy is to draw up character sheets yourself and use that as the model input. That way it' still your design but AI can shit out hundreds of panels and do the heavy lifting.

Consistency is the next step and training AI is getting better. People are still going to use it for scummy reasons but there's going to be legitimate uses for people that genuinely want to make their own content without ripping others off.

Greta looks like those drawings i used to make in art class wherein everything was teeeechnically anatomically correct... the eyes, the nose, the mouth, it was all perfect and by the books, but the teacher still said id looks.... off... when i put them all together
"yeah, its correct, but theres no life there, its just not what a person looks like"

More like bore the customer to death by not making comics special and Human anymore. Western comic sales are bad enough with the Woke shit and now people are pulling this shit.

This is basically scams for people who are too cheap to hire ghostwriters and the book industry is already pretty bad with that garbage flooding the market. It's just morons looking to make a quick buck in a market that'll close pretty fricking quick anyway and ruin it for everyone else.

It's a shame too, comic books are great sources of entertainment when made by the right people and it inspires kids to draw and create their own stuff. AI is just going to kill off any of that wonder, inspiration and joy, imo. It's a shame.

AI I think will bottleneck innovation and leave many potential roads untraveled, that's the biggest danger I see coming out of this.

          Anonymous

Any kind of entertainment medium that relies on visual and audio stuff will probably survive just by the sheer fact that people can draw pretty awesome/unique stuff and AI art is pretty easy to suss out (right now at least). Novels and bookwriting will be forever fricked by Chat GPT though.

Zoomers are are so brain rotted by culture wars and twitter outrage that they don't realize we've been here before with the market being flooded with an endless stream of crap. That was one of the things that led to the crash in the 90s; everyone that could scribble a stick figure decided they were gonna start their own label.

It recovered until all of this Woke crap turned down great talent and made it uninteresting to young people and adults. Also, at least with people learning to draw, people were developing a skill, but now computers will just do all the work for them, aside from typing in the right prompts, if you consider that a skill.
