There is a genre of anime called ecchi which exists to cater to fetishists and bait coomers into buying merchandise of their favorite girls, and among that genre traps/futa is relatively common, there is also more anime which isn’t as explicit but basically exists for the same reasons (to sell weebs and otakus merchandise if their favorite girls) where traps/futs can be relatively common, although not as much. But if you’re trying to portray those harem type animes as being popular or as fair representations of anime overall you’re just either being disingenuous or ignorant. Both in Japan and America those types of animes are looked down on, and their fans are shunned. I don’t know if it has as much soul as it used to since I only watch completed animes so a lot of the great current animes I won’t be watching for a while. All I know is even if you’re right and it’s not as soulful it’s certainly not pozzed.

It’s into a common trope. There are over 4.4 million animes and 775,000 mangas on mal, it’s a very big medium. There is a genre of anime called ecchi which exists to cater to fetishists and bait coomers into buying merchandise of their favorite girls, and among that genre traps/futa is relatively common, there is also more anime which isn’t as explicit but basically exists for the same reasons (to sell weebs and otakus merchandise if their favorite girls) where traps/futs can be relatively common, although not as much. But if you’re trying to portray those harem type animes as being popular or as fair representations of anime overall you’re just either being disingenuous or ignorant. Both in Japan and America those types of animes are looked down on, and their fans are shunned. But if you in your autism want to judge an entire medium based on a small subset of its lows because you have some deranged “stop liking what I don’t like” hate for anime that you have to pretend that it’s full of trannies and people who watch it are trannies then go right ahead, I’ll continue watching and enjoying anime while you keep obsessing over trannies.
