artistic choice, there doesn't seem to be an in-universe explanation
I mean old cars are kino and timeless, but it took me out a bit when at least one of these corposlaves would be driving a Kia Optima.
Did Cinemaphile sub-humans actually watch this goyslop?
Who decides what is goyslop or not?
I decide it
>American science fiction
>created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle
>Executive producers: Adam Scott, Jackie Cohn
>muh office
>4+ black ''actors''
it's goyslop
>OHH NOOO BLACK PEOPLE IM GOING INSANE
You are already insane. You watch Black folklop and you're a tripgay.
>muh office
>this is an argument that the npc finds impressive
Anything set in an office or about an office is for NPC sub-humans. Glad you found my argument impressive though.
Obvious falseflag/bait post
the casting was fine
the problem was making 2 old men homosexuals
because most people working middle class have to be moronic to buy a new car
if you wanted one of the cars in the show in the condition they are in you'd be paying as much if not more than a new car
A E S T H E T I C
Isn't that the people working for the company only though? We've seen very little of the real world except Mark's neighborhood which seems to be entirely company made.
Main guy has old Camry, boss has old Civic, and gay guy has old Mustang. But in addition, every car on the street you see is also old. There aren't a bunch others, but there is not a single car made post 2000
>boss has old Civic
No. It's a VW Rabbit/Golf
>It's a VW Rabbit/Golf
what is a vw rabbit
And I forgot, main guys black gf has some old coupe I couldn't identify
Also the sister has a 90s range.
people will say they love this show and then continue to show up 5 days a week to their email job lmao
Can I eat air?
>he's not a breatharian
mayve they just like entertainment instead of being a supreme intellectual philosopher like yourself
What if they're new cars made to look like old cars, just like those computer terminals?
I think they wanted to keep the time in which it is set a little bit nebulous. The old cars help with that.
The TVs were modern and they had smartphones. Nothing except the car were out of place in the "outside" world.
Also the haircuts and the clothes seemed dated.
Everything in the office, suits, terminals, materials etc is 70’s
maybe in their world the car design is more old fashioned
Maybe it's related to story
the show has a distinct "90's office show" aesthetic despite having internet so
Let me guess. It's Hollyisraelites cashing in on the whole backrooms meme to push muh evil capitalism.
Am I wrong?
Nothing about backrooms is original. Go be underage someplace else.
>Let me guess
Why don't you just watch the show instead of pre-hating it for whatever persecution syndrome you're suffering from, brainrot?
Great premise, middling execution
Great premise, great execution
I don't remember any of the cars looking old. Screenshots?
Threadly reminder that Mark's brother in law Ricken is actually Rick N. and his whole book club group are innies. Screencap this post.
They were trying to do a soft of unique, retro-futuristic look in the first few episodes, which they kind of abandoned as the season goes on.
This show unironically insists upon itself with some of the pretentious cinematic shots they do
>I don't know the definition of that word but I'm going to use it because I think it makes people sound smart when they do
