I'm not that caught up, but doesn't he survive otherwise fatal incidents because the Marvel Universe incarnation of death literally thinks he's a creepy stalker and doesn't want to see him?

Not to be that guy, but that's the point of thanos he was always op af and found some weird way to survive shit.

This also true there was time when he did not die, because lady death did not want him to die. You don't get bigger plot armor than that kek.

For some reason some writers have a massive boner for wanking Thanos. Do you not remember that bullshit Thanos wins comic where he beats literally everyone and Silver Surfer jobs again?

      >Do you not remember that bullshit Thanos wins comic
where do you think OP's pic comes from dumbass.
Anyway the explanations is that you aren't supposed to think about, like everything Cates writes.

It's not Thanos who is overpowered, it's Cates who is braindead. For the record, in the same storyline this same Thanos loses to mainline Thanos and was afraid of Silver Surfer with Thor's hammer. And couldn't kill Cosmic Ghost Rider who got pulverized in one blow by that same Silver Surfer. Who then proceeded to get killed by 616 Thanos. Who was in that timeline in the first place because aforementioned Cosmic Ghost Rider walked over him, chained him with unbreakable chains and dragged his ass there.
None of that makes sense? Well, that's Cates for you.

Thanos is what superhomosexuals wished Superman was. A character that is the most powerful, most intelligent, most wanked off character in existence.

Dr Manhattan is dcs thanos. He wasn’t bad at first but now watchman has 2000 sequels all part of the dc multiverse and he is always involved in the big crossover stories like the one with the Batman who laughs who is just as bad.

Uh, am I trapped in a time-loop? I was sure I was all ready in this thread earlier and it had way more posts. I remember several of the posts in this exact thread having all ready been made, word for word, image for image.

That version of Thanos had the god quarry which is one of the most powerful things in Marvel. Thanos in general was wanked to hell in the 2010's due to being the main villain of the MCU though he was overpowered before that.

So is there an actual 'read this shit' for Thanos?
I remember someone said start with the Infinity Gauntlet and the collection just drops you at page one where he has the gems
no backstory, just Meph going 'ayyy yo, thanos you da big power nao buddy'

Yes. Starlin's original Saga is among the best Marvel comics ever made.
No, I'm not going to tell you how to read it. The board for recommendations is

NTA, but you are such a colossal homosexual. Get your head dislodged from your pretentious butthole. This is fricking Cinemaphile--2022 Cinemaphile at that--and you're still pretending it's 2012.

nta, but go back to r*ddit if you want pinned recommendations and hugboxes.
If someone else wants to legitimately answer the question they can. Spend the time to research the FNG's question to answer him if you're going to waste time attacking someone else.

Just read Gillian's latest Eternals run. Theres literally no other Thanos you need to read to get the point, you can ignore everything else.

it's funny that I actually love how Gillen was writing him in Eternals which is also a book where he makes sense to appear, when most of the time i just groan

He's a power fantasy, his fans want a power fantasy, normally that's fine but he exists in a shared universe so it can look obnoxious when Starlin goes "look at me dunk on these existing characters to make my self insert look good". Bendis writing Thanos is one of the few times where his character butchering ends up being a service.
