why is their content so good while Netflix series are all mid or bad? is it just good taste? better quality control? preferring quality over quantity?

Because life isn't as simple as putting money in and getting quality out?
Over the years they put an emphasis on quality. Now they have a large back catalog of well received shows people watch over and over. Their newer stuff is hit or miss though and it’s not often I find a show on there I like enough to wait for new episodes.
>last seasons of game of thrones is "emphasis on quality"
You are delusional and gaslighting yourself
That wasn't HBO, that was the israeli showrunners who wanted to move on but their egos wouldn't let them pass it along.
Nah, that excuse only works for season 8's wrapping up.
Trying to pass that shit into seasons 6 and 7 as well is plain dishonest, Black person
OP does
Literally nobody ever thinks those seasons are good or quality in any way the hate is pretty much unanimous
HBO has been making shows a lot longer than got has existed.
>cancelled Deadwood and Carnivale
Never forget, never forgive.
having standards
HBO documentaries are often top tier and interesting.
But after they air, they just toss them onto the heap of reality tv shows and Discovery crap.
>HBO content good
Is it 2007?
Netflix makes inoffensive slop designed for mass market appeal, HBO makes stuff with edgy content that might upset people but is still engaging and often shocking
I haven't seen anything HBO since GoT ended. I was under the impression that their quality went to shit by hearing stuff like horrible Watchmen sequel, am I wrong?
I think the righteous gemstones is a really good comedy series
hbo >>>> netfliz > disney
differencve is hbo seem to hire people who make and write people stuff as a professionals. like george martin been writing masterful novels since 1970's and their shows hire professional actors (often europeans) insetad of Hollywood actors who are actuanny not even professional actors. like disney etc. seem to hire based on brown skin color instead of acting skills
>george martin been writing masterful novels
The management at HBO knows what they're doing, at least half of them do, while Netflix started from scratch as a company and the management there has no idea about anything.
HBO primarily tries to make entertainment
Netflix makes woke slop for morons
HBO has quality control, Netflix takes everything.
Aren't a lot of Netflix series simply licensed by Netflix and not actually quality-controlled? I mean, movies exclusively on Netflix are simply there because Netflix bought them, they didn't actively involve themselves in the writing or filming, some movies were already finished and then bought by Netflix.
>content
imagine seeing everything in this world as content. kys
A series like Sopranos could never get made today because the homosexual WGA would force David Chase to hire the DEI troony squad to write his scripts.
>trans people can't make movies
>one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made was made by trans siblings
They made the only good movie in that franchise before trooning out, but I'm not even saying trannies can't write. Make your own show, don't demand a mandate to be a writers room where you're not wanted and ruin someone else's show. The fact that they need a mandate is how you know they're shit writers.
>don't demand a mandate to be a writers room where you're not wanted and ruin someone else's show
Can you name one example of that ever happening?
The WGA literally demanded staffing minimums
and DEI and went on strike for 8 months last year to get it, you absolute gaslighting homosexual.
Demanding a minimum number of human writers as opposed to AI has nothing to do what we're talking about dumbass. You think the WGA set a minimum number of trans writers?
>don't demand a mandate to be a writers room where you're not wanted
Did you think the dudes who demanded to be let in the womens room would stop there?
Let's not forget HBO has been making good shows way before Netflix was a thing and didn't have to rely on on a streaming standard back when sopranos, Oz, curb, true blood was a thing. Their streaming only shows are considerably worse.
>why is their content so good
A library of content generated before the wave of cultural vandalism really hit. When people think of HBO being good, they're thinking of shows from almost twenty years ago. Modern HBO is largely just the same troonery one finds at Netflix.
Every single Netflix original is frickin gay
