Parasite is actually great. They must have given it best picture by mistake. Birdman was decent. Apart from those there has not been a memorable BP winner since No Country in 2007.

Its already decided Fablemans is going to win. You really think, one of the biggest israelites and biggest pedos in Hollywood is not going to win for making a movie, about his israelite mom and dad? Yea. Go put a million on it, its winning 100%.

It's also "a love letter to cinema", which they swallow up every time.

This has to be the worst list of the modern era. Not even 2 years ago was this bad

Avatar 2 is one of the few that actually deserves to win, because whether you like it or not, it's filmmaking at its finest.

The problem is that in order to drum up viewership, the Academy ruled that Best Picture should go from the 5 nominees to infinite nominees (seriously, they can nominate like 16 films now, if it meant better ratings). Everyone here LOVED the idea because that meant their shitty meme movie got a best picture nod.

But I warned you, once you remove the quality filter, there is no coming back. I see they even upped the # of nominees for Best Actor/Actress, Supporting, etc. as well. Everybody gets a Participation Trophy! Liberals ruined Hollywood.

Because honestly there weren't really any performances by black actors this year that felt like locks for Oscar nominations. At most you had "eh, maybe" for someone like Viola Davis, but her being excluded is more mild surprise than a deliberate snub.
