I hate how the actor in the Anguirus suit walks around on his knees like a little kid pretending to be a dog. Besides the original and one or two decent other ones the original run of stupid ‘60s Godzilla movies are all terrible, low-budget slop that solidified films with monsters in it as “b-movies” for decades.

        Anonymous

The 60s films are by far the peak of the series outside of the original movie. The majority of them are directed by the same guy that directed Godzilla.

I didn’t like how Godzilla was some reincarnated zombie spirit of WWII and he explodes in the end, although it was cool how even though he exploded he was still alive and you see his heart beating on the ocean floor, but nah that was still stupid. I didn’t like Godzilla’s suit. Feet way too big and the head/neck didn’t look like it was attached to the body, like the prop broke and the head was bobbing and dangling from the rest of it.
This has nothing to do with the movie but at the time I also didn’t like that they made a new design for Godzilla out of nowhere and this new Millenium series didn’t have any continuity. Same with Final Wars. At the time, I thought Final Wars was going to be a sequel to Tokyo SOS, but instead it was some ironic parody montage of the series characters and almost not even a real movie.
But GMK and FW are still alright.

Legendary hasn't licensed any of the lesser-known (compared to the Big 5) monsters yet, but since the Monsterverse blew up in popularity again maybe there's hope for Anguirus.

They first wake up on Planet X and immediately start fighting Ghidorah. Then later, when they get free of alien control, they immediately fight Ghidorah again. The only two interactions Godzilla and Rodan have is when Godzilla wakes up, his tail unintentionally thwaps on Rodan's chest as he's waking up and he gives a derpy look, and then at the end, Rodan picks up Godzilla and runs him into Ghidorah.

They don't meet in the movie until they're in space, right? And at the end when they break out of the alien's control they fight Ghidorah together. When does the fight happen? Is it when they're under mind control?

To clarify, for the Toho movies at least, LARVA Mothra, and only Larva form.

If she's a moth he wants her fricking dead every time they cross paths. The one time there's a moth-mothra and he doesn't try to kill her is the one time they literally never see each other in the movie(FW). Every other time, even in stuff like Sea Monster where they shouldn't logically have a beef he wants her dead.

mothra is kind of pretentious, canonically. She thinks of godzilla as an abomination; she doesn't want to kill him necessarily but recognizes that it would probably be better for the planet if he was gone

The first Godzilla is the real abomination, the second Godzilla is really just a misunderstood creature who is persecuted for looking scary and smashing a few buildings. The real moral of the Showa movies is that it's better to work together than to fight.

She was just sitting on a rock, it's not like he saw her being threatening or anything. He's just forever salty about that one time she dragged his ass across the ground.

I mean pretty reasonable, he did kill her mom and sibling right after she was born in Showa, tried to kill her in the egg in Heisei, was possessed by the spirits of dead WW2 soldiers in GMK and was actually an abomination on a rampage in Tokyo SOS.

She's got skewed opinions due to his canonical moth racism.

Worth looking into if you're really in the mood for something like the old Godzilla games. The camera is farther out and the action is faster but I hear it play somewhat similarly besides that, the Godzilla monsters can even have beam battles.
Some gameplay of the first Godzilla DLC characters
