Why people here miss the 90s and 2000s so much when animation now is much more healthier now than back then? There's literally a thriving industry where you'll find more varied animated topics than anywhere else in the world.

If animation is better now how come everything sucks?
literally name one way the industry is better before i fricking kill you autist
Nostalgia sucks. I haven't watched network cartoon in years, most of the things I watch are on youtube
What do you watch? Post your links.
Helluva boss
Smiling friends
Eh a little Anime
That's nice. What anime?
King of the Hill
>There's literally a thriving industry
Thriving foreign industry.
In my country it's outsourced to Canada and made for Americans. We have nothing made for us. Our children even have to watch it because we have nothing else outside a multicult Beano piece and the occasional Aardman. No-one wants to broadcast the old stuff despite it beating the new stuff on variety, quantity and culture.
Thankfully Japanese and French groomers haven't gotten a stake in it.
I believe Americans call this cuckoldry.
>thriving industry
Tax credits + unaware autists
Success does not equate to quality or preference.
The two Blade Runner movies are some of my favorite live action films and nether performed very well.
>animation is better now
you mean complete shit?
No.
Besides Technology and maybe broadcast boundaries how the hell is the industry better now?
The harsh reality is realizing western animation has never had a good era if your name wasn't Disney
A few flops aside Warner Bros. Feature Animation had a pretty good run
People are missing the best from that era, not just everything. No go away, dumb foxposter.
>Define healthy
I'd say going into 2020s, animation is going into the worst dark age it's been in a while.
Besides, it doesn't matter if animation is "healthy" when everything else is shit.
Millenials.
Shit taste like the Gen x with pride like the Boomers.
except older millennials who watched cartoons in the 90s and had access to the good don bluth shit from the 80s are the ones who hate where things have gone.
>animation now is much more healthier now than back then?
Go back to/tv/.
This is the most israeli post I have ever seen on Cinemaphile
Too much /misc/.
>Too much /misc/.
So Cocomelon, She-Ra, Star Vs. and Korra aren't shit made to ruin children's minds?
she-ra and korra are not. i haven't watched cocomelon or star vs.
if we're going to talk about what ruins children's minds, start are with organized religion
>is much more healthier
Healthier, he says. When kids are raised on brain-melting shit like Cocomelon or propagandized through shit like She-Ra, Star Vs. and Korra.
Lies
Animation was about to evolve before disney came our with aladdin.
>Cobbler autist enters the thread
imagine what animated movies would look like today had it been released to critical success!
Stealing that reaction image
i read that as
"the THIEF and the BBLER"
>Autists takes 20 years to make movie
>producers say frick it because they're tired of the cost
Give him a few decades boys, he will surely finish it! No, don't make Aladdin, Richard's work will be so much better! Just a few more decades.......
none of these are arguments that disprove whatever the autist is saying. thief and the cobbler was good shit, frick your time constraints and deadlines. cartoons with their calarts shit would still suck even if they didn't have deadlines
>the best thing that could have been made would have been better than the worst shit that has actually been made
lol
lmao
Nothing against Japanese animation. but there are entire series that reuse old footage.
Like which?
>le glorious 1000 times folded animation
nowadays nips will throw bad CGI into any anime to save some money , so they clearly don't give a shit about the artform
Makes you think.
violet evergarden wasn't good
Most anime made (which is moeshit, lifeofslice shit or isekai shit) has some of the worst animation. One shounen will come out that every normie will salivate over for a year before it becomes bad or the next new thing comes out. But one thing that is consistent is that they cut massive corners in the actual animation. The art style might be "better" or "more detailed" but the movement is stiffer than western animation. Only shounen spergs the entire show budget on one well-animated scene that weeaboos will use to shit on western animation in every east vs. west argument.
Because people are blinded by nostalgia and feel more connected to things they were exposed to in their formative years.
You see the same thing on Cinemaphile.
>when animation now is much more healthier now
Kek
It's true.
You haven't actually posted any examples of how it's healthier, just asserted that it's more expansive and criticized others.
Ghibli > Disney
It's why Ghibli is still making multi-billion dollar movies while Disney is releasing flops.
Not to disparage Ghibli, but they haven’t had one film break one billion dollars, much less multi-billion dollar movies
Yeah I don't know what that anon is talking about, I don't think they get high even with inflation adjusted.
But profit doesn't equal quality and even modern Ghibli shits on Disney in terms of quality
>multi-billion dollar
You mean yen or some other Zimbabwean currency, right?
>Disney is releasing flops
Did you blow in from stupid town or another timeline?
>Last Jedi
Time to repost.
More.
The 2000's had the power of Ra
And now?
The power of Molly.
>healthier
how? some soft shit that doesn't offer any depiction of struggle against evil, or offers a BAD take on how to fight evil? what do you mean by healthy?
