They have crippling levels of anxiety. So do I, but mine is warranted. I've done so many bad things in my life that I'm essentially living in a glass house of cards, karmically speaking, and I'm waiting for the whole thing to come down in ways you couldn't possibly fathom.

80s and 90s were so fricking comfy.

      >Turn on your CRT tv and play super mario all stars in your room after having had a christmas dinner with your family
      >read about all the cool games coming out in nintendo power
      >rumors around school of various secrets in video games, some are fake but some are real
      >girls having crushes, boys having crushes
      >notes being passed around class, friends of the girl approach you and asks if you like her then run back to her
      >you'll never go out in the forest behind school and look through playboy that your friend stole from his dad
      >rise of the internet, was more magical and places like newgrounds and even runescape only became popular through word of mouth in the school yard

Big city kids won't understand btw. You've always had horrible concrete lives, where you don't even know who your neighbours are.

True. I truly believe that one of the main reasons for todays depressive atmosphere is that everything has lost it's magic due to easy accessibility. And I mean it in a way that nothing feels like an exciting discovery anymore because you can just instantly google everything and order everything you want from the internet. In a way the world feels too solved.

S1 was kino but part of me wishes they stopped there, no reason to carry on. S2 with the weird anarchist punks in Chicago and the pajeeta 11 absolutely sucked. S3-4 were great though. I had nightmares about that big shadow monster from s3 and s4 was just brilliant. I get chills thinking about that ticking grandfather clock. And obviously the kate Bush scene was kino

Cute ugly nerd kids, good aesthetic, and a believable world without much detail. They should have moved on to a new group of kids and a whole new cast encountering the creepy shit. Kill off the old cast or otherwise dismiss them from the story, maybe that could play into the mystery. Do a "reset" by forcing the audience to see through a new limited perspective that has to learn what the old characters had learned. That would have afforded them many more seasons to build upon the mystery and play with more 80s tropes, not to mention saving a lot of money from not having to pay the same actors more money for returning. Also if the main characters aren't static - implicitly "invincible" like superhero characters - that would maintain high stakes that would keep audiences greatly intrigued. One of the strong points of LOST in my opinion.

Season 1 was really strong. Interesting setting and premise even if it was a bunch of old media smashed together, extremely well acted, a feel good show that wasn't childish forced nonsense, mostly white, characters that weren't a bunch of unlikeable buttholes. Season 1 was a unique breath of fresh air at the time and still is compared to what the majority of tv is to this day. Season 2 and beyond were slop.

Show set in the early 80s written by people born in the late 80s. Trash.
