It really is, say what you want about the other events but this is the most mismanaged Crisis ever

You mean 2022 but whatever it's bad

It was so bad, other writers pretty much spoiled the ending in other books. No event comes close to this level.

A lot of shitposting without much substance. I'm not reading this shitty comic ever, so can someone say what their issue was?

For starters, it came WAY too soon after Dark Knights Metal. That story, for it's many flaws, felt big in scope and already expanded the Mulitverse/Omniverse.

Then the the buildup for "Dark Crisis" happened in a book most people weren't reading so alot of the plot points felt like they came out of nowhere for casual readers. Imagine if the buildup for events like Secret Invasion or Secret Wars at Marvel weren't happening in the 2 main Avengers books but instead in West Coast Avengers or Great Lakes Avengers.

Also, the story lacked much in the way of depth. For a "Crisis level event" most of the event involves like 2 battles. One at Titans Tower and another at the Hall 9f Justice.

Finally, most popular DC heroes, mainly the cast of the Justice League cartoon from the 2000s, are sidlined for most of the event. The heoes we do get with the exception of Nightwing and Blacl Adam all have the same storyline of living up to their predecessors. It's just lame.

That's a good thing, frick every event being about Superman and Batman

Give the fans what the fans want. They dont have good writers or a good editorial to give you a good story about other characters.

              Events are almost never good

If you want a Batman and Superman story just read World's Finest.

Fans dont want Aquaman. Aquaman fans and Mamoa fans want Aquaman.
                >Events are almost never good
And than you wonder they rely on Batman and Superman?
                >read World‘s Finest
If this is a big, earth threatening event than you would wonder why both are not present. Guess thats why they had the legacy characters vanish for the other characters to shine. But the problem is that they dont know how to write it good and rely on their successors! Besides this event is just there to push the successors, because they hope fans than will be interested in their zeitgeist successors!

                >Fans dont want Aquaman.
                1 billion
                >Aquaman fans
                are DC fans
                >Mamoa fans want Aquaman
Not popular enough to explain 1 billion
                >And than you wonder they rely on Batman and Superman?
Marvel events are just as bad and they rely on other characters
                >If this is a big, earth threatening event than you would wonder why both are not present.
Because they are either busy with Zod and Ra's or don't know what is going on so others take the most important parts of the story

Based, Aquachad can provide top shelf kino if they’d give him a solid creative team and a fricking ongoing, that too much to ask these days?

DC lacks the solid stable at the top tier that Marvel has. The large ensemble of important characters amd groups allows for majore events to have a choice on who to focus on. Marvel can have an event like Seceret Wars where the main characters are Black Panther, Doom and and Reed Richards and still have it sell well. Or an Event like Secret Invasion with an ensemble with Iron Man, Luke Cage, Spiderwoman(Queen Veranke) etc. Inferno (1987) was focused on The Goblin Queen and Magik from the New Mutants and still was a hit.

Meanwhile DC has taught it's audience in the Post-Crisis era to only care about the Justice League. So if you make an event like Dark Crisis where the whole conceot is that it is a world WITHOUT the main Justice League players, of course no one cares.

That's bullshit, Blackest Night was one of their most sucessful events and it was about the Green Lanterns with Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman being side characters, Teen Titans had several sucessful projects, Suicide Squad as well, There is no reason for every story to be about Superman and Batman.

Nothing fricking happens in the event until the last two issues

Also the ending got spoiled by other books (Flashpoint Beyond and Dark Crisis: Big Bang), while one of the bigger plot points of the series is apparently in a separate one-shot and not the main event (Dark Crisis: The Deadly Green)

So mostly fillers? And if they put the end i a seperate one-shot than this is a slap into the face of customers!

It's fairly boring. You think a team of all the baddest villains ever who are heralding the coming darkness to wipe out Earth-0 would mean something but it really doesn't go anywhere other than a big dump team fight. I don't remember the main bad Pariah being delt with. The whole thing of everyone know the multiverse exist and everyone know there history before every crisis was never advanced on. It just sucks.

I don't know what's harder to believe. This merged Darkseid not really translating to something epic, or all these heavies like Nekron basically just fist fighting. And very, very little dialogue.

And I do agree, this event happened far too close to Metal.

I liked Judgement Day. It was decently written. My biggest problem is the ending was about as predictable as can be with the soft reset.
