This, nobody were expecting how great was Fury Road, it was funny as shit too because and old aussie frick like Miller showed Hollywood how a blockbuster should be made.
Fury Road had its production delayed by over 10 years, I think. That gave Miller and his crew tile to build a shit ton of cool vehicles, and to think about and refine the story and script. Most productions have very little breathing time to think things over. But its possible he gave Furiosa a lot of thought too during that time, but given how good MM 1, 2 and 4 were, I'll check this one out, only film aside from the new MI movies I'm excited about.

Not much sadly, but it makes a lot of sense. Like Avalanche studio making both the Mad Max game and Rage 2, Rage being a dead license, Rage 2 being revealed only a few months before coming out and Rage 2 being so heavily focused on vehicles.
Those do all make sense, but IIRC the lawsuit was before Fury Road, so also before the Mad Max game or Rage 2 were ever released.
I just don't understand how they did such a good job expanding the Mad Max universe, but did such a boring job with the (admittedly less compelling) Rage universe.

What do you think about the music in Fury Road?
It's pretty good in general, and the Brothers in Arms theme (when they are chased by dirtbikes in the canyon) is amazing. Not much of a fan JunkieXL's other music, sounds like generic techno themery from the few instances I've heard, but it worked really well for Fury Road with the drum sound
He had a sad string theme for Furiosa. Probably he will develop it further.
I'm looking forward to it, hope he does the music. The canyon chase was the high point of Fury Road for me, in big part thanks to the score

It's generic in some ways, but it just works well in Fury Road. I really dislike that style in general in most movies, many people are copying it, not sure if it was Hans Zimmer whos started the trend. But I still love that Brothers In Arms track, and the Winter Soldier track has no impact for me at all, I hated that movie also.

You have to compare the actual scenes with each other to judge the impact and effectiveness of the music. I dont recall a single memorable scene in Winter Soldier, but there are many memorable scenes in Fury Road, especially that Canyon Chase scene. There are thousands of orchestral scores that sound similar too.
