I feel like earlier art showed Garfield not as cutesified. Also man it's weird how Chris Pratt just managed to get roles for 2 juggernaut franchise main characters who were randomly getting a theatrical movie after so long of not having one, by 2 completely different companies.
It's amazing how well casted Lorenzo was. I was rewatching the old cartoons the other day and his voice was perfect for the role. Welker is a good understudy though.

It's absolutely how incredible Lorenzo and Welker are to Garfield's voice and character, I can't imagine Garfield without the deeper, loafing voices of either, Pratt doesn't even try to call back to those roles and it shows
>Welker
Welker sucks complete ass; people only like him because he was the only one after Music for so long. Pratt is literally just doing his normal voice and is already 1000000 times better than the steaming heap that is Welker's Garfield.

It looks EXTREMELY generic and like another by the numbers kids animated movie. The voice of Pratt does not fit Garfield at all. >Oh Garfield meets his wacky father who left him for dead in the streets >They have oh so wacky adventures >Eventually dad garf is going to tell garf to come back to the wild with him >But garf learns to say "no I like Jon and Odie and I'm not going with you dad"
It's all so tiresome. I wasn't expecting much from a Garfield movie but if I can predict your entire plot from your reveal trailer it's basically over already
I wonder why they haven't a Homeward Bound type story with Garfield yet. It seems like the only kind of big story you could do with a character like him. I wasn't expecting Samuel Jackson as the dad. How much you want to bet this is going to make some brilliant minds read Garfield ad being black?
>I wonder why they haven't a Homeward Bound type story with Garfield yet
Because Garfield is smart enough to just call a taxi or straight up call Jon and ask him to pick him up.
Even for Garfield it's disappointing how generic this is. I guess because they're trying way too hard in the start to manipulate you into crying with the cute chibi BIG EYED garfield crying as a kitten alone in a rainy street shit. >chris pratt can't even sound like a bored lazy cat right
jesus christ man
Odie is cute
He's played fat and lazy dudes before so maybe.
At least he doesn't really have to put on an "accent" like in Mario
Odie is shooped sadly pic rel is how he will look

Well, hollywood IS shameless
Chris Pratt will be fine. The movie is still going to be ass because its written badly.
Pratt's more fit for Garfield than Mario. I've already accepted that no Garfield voice is going to be better than Lorenzo Music.

Why is Liz a latina?
I don't know but I don't mind it, that look works for her
>another white female replaced by a Hispanic
When tf will it stop
Hopefully NEVER
Why aren't white men allowed to like white women?
We want Liz to fuck Jon, not Odie
It's more of a racemixing fetish
Why did they make Jon lovable and attractive? Why is she smiling in a cute way when she's supposed to be a grumpy doctor
Modern times, pls understand

You tell me
Oh look. He's just using his regular voice. Who could've foreseen...
Oh good. At least its Sony. They're the only ones doing anything remotely good these days.

You missed the three way sex scene between Jon, Liz, and Lymen, mr smarty pants.
>Lymen
Let's be real now.
>what if Garfield had daddy issues?
it stinks

How do you fail to make Garfield feel like Garfield?
>I've spent hours of my life eating...
>LASAGNA!
ha
No, not at all. He doesn't even attempt to do the voice.
Which celebrity do you think COULD do a good Garfield voice, Cinemaphile?
I'd like to hear John Goodman's take.
Do they have to be living or can it be anyone?
Chris Farley could've been fun.
Living but yeah he'd be good
Keanu Reeves and I'm not joking
Keanu should've been Jon so they could make a Jon Wick joke
I still feel weird when Garfield moves his mouth while talking
>absent father appears
oh boy another generational trauma story
The thing is that this isn't even original for Garfield, meeting his stranged family has been done before.
Chris Pratt doesn't even sound good as Chris Pratt.
Mario sounded more like Mario than this sounds like Garfield, why is twitter already trying to gaslight me into believing otherwise?
