Luz is objectivelly the worst written character out of the 3 just by the fact the creator was just winging it while she was writing her, while Molly and Anne all had a specific plan the writers commited to throughout the show. Dana making up she's autistic after being asked about it a second time is all you need to know over how little her own creator cares about her.
Yeah, but only when asked about it the second time and saying "I didn't know the meaning of the term but Molly was totally written that way!"
It's one of the dumbest things she said
Sure she likes notHarry notPotter and shit, but she's blatantly apparently not autistic. She's a fricking hair's breadth away from being a complete normalgay. She could be described as the MEME autistic, like Black folk around here would call everyone who liked things, but not actually the real one.
I don't watch a lot of lore-shows but the more I do, the more I appreciate how tightly planned Amphibia was.
Amphibia has flaws but it's the only one of the big serialized cartoons where you can tell there was a plan from the start that got through to the end. AT constantly made up shit, SU fricked up big time, GF got cucked by his own creator limiting it to just 2 seasons, She-Ra didn't know what they were doing when talking about abuse and queer representation, and Owl House had no plan. The better serialized animated stories now are on adult animation, like Arcane and Invincible, where they should be.

The only plan Mutt had with Amphibia was "rip off Chrono Trigger, Dragonball Z, Nintendo, Sonic, Naruto, and whatever the frick else as much as possible without actually getting hit with a lawsuit"

Just because you don't like certain parts of the show doesn't mean it isn't planned, I mean you can see that they were prepping for the Earth arc back in season two because there are suddenly way more flashbacks with backgrounds for Anne's house and even flitting through designs for Mrs. Boonchuy.

Who made the mural? Who had the prophecy? Where did Leif's prophecy come from? Why did she see a moon when the people who made the prophecy see a giant beast? Why did no one else see her vision by playing with the box? Why depict newt greediness with a frog/toad monster? Why depict three warriors fighting it when only one using the suicide power was enough? Why make it a self-fulfilling but open ended non-guaranteed prophecy whose solution is revealed in the penultimate episode? What did the Core do when it "downloaded" itself into Marcy? Why did cutting the cord sever the Core's connection to Marcy then? Why did it still retain control of the helmet despite being severed from the big Core?
These are all questions that don't exist in a show that's planned from the start.

Am I just completely out of touch with how people function or did Luz and Amity liking each other seem to come out of completely fricking nowhere? It gets hinted at and shit but it doesn't seem to actually start anywhere, progresses for no obvious reason (and with plenty of offscreen handwaving) and starts with Luz being unaware Amity likes her to suddenly going red in the face all the time with no obvious trajectory between the two states.
I dunno, maybe I just have no idea how people work. It's cute and everything but it feels entirely unnatural.
Actually on that same note, Eda and homosexual don't seem to actually have any romantic chemistry whatsoever at any point. They're just suddenly star-crossed lovers and always have been, the second homosexual starts existing in the plot.
Amity has a bit of hints towards it, but it's less romance and more that Molly is the only good thing she had in her life for a while, and the writers just lazily pushed that aspect into meaning romantic. Which is lame, but not completely implausible.
Luz reciprocating is 100% forced, rushed and underdeveloped. She falls for her once Amity saves her in a specific situation, but she already has done it before and in more romantic ways. It makes zero sense Luz felt nothing when she saved her in prom but went goo goo gaga when she saved her from some shitty customers.
It's a bad show.
>Molly
Meant to say Luz, but you know what I meant. Luz wishes she was Molly.
Actually on that same note, Eda and homosexual don't seem to actually have any romantic chemistry whatsoever at any point. They're just suddenly star-crossed lovers and always have been, the second homosexual starts existing in the plot.
That's mostly because they made Rayne the most boring character ever in order to not hurt trans people's "feelings". Which is ironically transphobic, implying trans people can't handle any representation that isn't lazily done. Still better than what she-ra did.
Yea, that’s a big part of my dislike for the ship. The entire thing is just super forced. Like, Luz’s entire intention when it came to Amity had been to befriend her and it worked with the concept of defrosting the ice queen but then the crush happened and far too much of both’s personality became the ship and endlessly repeating the same thing of spilling their spaghetti. Really doesn’t help matters that it’s kinda creepy due to Amity being a self-insert of the writer and Luz being based on an old girlfriend
Yes, but you're a person in real life who's not part of an overarching story, you can like whoever the frick you want and it's fine because it's life. Actual stories need justification for actions because those characters aren't real people. Otherwise every garbage fanfic twisting personalities to fit shipping is actually accurate because "people just like each other out of nowhere like that". So what, if in season 3 Amity realizes she actually loves Willow and not Luz it's okay because "crushes just happen"?
She doesn't need it.
Luz is great without it and that makes her superior than those two.
Probably the nearest thing we will get is purple eyes Amity in S3.
Amphibia >had a checklist and was planned as early as season 1 >planned plot beats in season 3 did not resonate with vocal fandom, but resolved at their own pace
Owl House >constant disagreements about direction between Dana & Disney >show doesn't find its feet until season 2, now runs on borrowed time to finish everything
There.
I rewatched the first episode of TOH recently and it looks and feels so much different.
Like how people are imprisoned in Conformatorium for random trivialities (being "weird" in a world that is inherently really weird?), not serious stuff like defying the coven system or anything.
The show proper feels like a drastic divergence from the the pilot. Stepping back, not a bad thing since the pilot's thesis wouldn't have supported a whole show.
Personally I vastly preferred S1 of owl house to S2, it had less troony shit and better hijinks. The plot stuff isn't very interesting and the stakes keep randomly changing.
It would be cool for her to get temporary witch powers. That means, using magic without glyphs. Also, she could unlock a supermode just to be as useless as Marcy and Sasha.
>Super Dyke Super Chicana

And then comes this homosexual to say the mc is well writen

Nope.

Froggays and ghostgays seething they backed the wrong horses

it happens. that was basically how my current relationship started. bf just started crushing on me one day
I hope she doesn't so she stays the weak b***h she is
Why does ghost girl have a powered up form anyway? Isn't that show a comedy/slice-of-life?
Anne and Molly's powers came from their sacrifices. What will Luz give up to gain a power-up?
nothing, she'll get everything at the cost of nothing.
It seems my superiority has upset some people
That's racist
Ida already took that with the harpy form
So what would evil versions of Molly, Luz & Anne be like?
Can any of them beat Star?
