They belong to Rhaenyra's faction, but were stuck North by a severe winter until the very end of the war. They are more involved in the affermath of the war than in the war itself.
She thinks Daemon and Rhaenyra will kill her childrens and grandchidrens if they seize they throne. That and the fact that by the traditonal law of Westeros, a younger son (Aegon II) inherit over and elder daughter (Rhaenyra)
Allicent is Rhaenyra's father second wife. She gave birth to Rhaenyra's three half brothers. Rhaenyra will want the throne for heraelf; Allicent instead for her firstborn son, Aegon II
